7 Italy Market Italy is one of the most important markets for our future growth Rail Freight Traffic, connecting with Italy North-South rail corridors (from/to Rotterdam/Hamburg, etc. connecting with Italy) Traffic volume of these corridors represents 60% of the corridor transport in Europe and it will increase to 70% by 2025 In Italy, the government has been encouraging modal shift, from road to rail, providing subsidies to rail operators (modal share rail in Italy: approx. 14%) 2.
