5 Highlights of WR Grid in the month of April 12 Power Supply Position: The Maximum Peak Demand Met in WR was MW on which was 7.28 % more as compared to April 11 (35388MW) & 0.29 % less as compared to March 12 demand (38073 MW). Total Energy Consumption was Mus at the average of 830 Mus/day & Maximum was 859 Mus on Whereas in the last month total Energy Consumption was Mus at the average of 796 Mus & Maximum was 840 Mus. Frequency Profile: System frequency was in IEGC band ( ) throughout the month for % of the time against % of the time in the last month. Maximum and Minimum Frequency were observed Hz and Hz. The Average frequency of the Grid was Hz. Voltage Profile: The voltage profile was normal and within the limits except at few substation where the deviation in voltages were observed beyond the stipulated limits in IEGC. The Highest voltage was observed at dhule (432 Kv on dated ) and lowest was at Gwalior (386 Kv on dated ). Capacity Addition: 1760 MW new generating capacity added in Western Region. No other grid elements are added into the grid. No major disturbance occurred. Major Events On 08/04/12, black start exercise was carried out at SSP. Unit#2 sync to island of 40 MW at 66kV Waghodia. From 10/04/12, allocation and scheduling of 1% RGPPL power to GOA is being done. On 24/04/12, reactive power capability testing of VSTPS#4 was carried out between 10:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs
