3 MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS Leaf collection program = 9,304 bags Christmas tree recycling program - 4 days Striping high traffic areas 6 days Traffic markings - 12 days (stop bars, crosswalks, turn arrows, etc.) Swept entire City 6 times Weather permitting, City sweepers run 8 to 10 months a year. Extensive patching for 80 days plus 23 days of miscellaneous patching Alley Maintenance 10 days, applied millings, trimmed trees, etc. Crack sealed 18 days Sign Maintenance 37 days Drainage maintenance 48 days, which includes cleaning of drop inlets, culverts, and open drainage Outfall maintenance on the river channels - 6 Weed abatement (burning, cutting, spraying) 28 days Special events provided traffic control for 25 special events/parades
4 MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS (continued) Maintained gravel roads 23 days Applied Micro Slurry to approximately 6.5 miles of City streets Maintained the fire line around the city Snow and ice response Dust suppression 1 mile and assisted Landfill with preparation and application of dust suppression Trimmed trees 36 days Maintained retention dams 7 days, which included weed burning, preventing unauthorized, access, brush hogging, and trash removal. Fence line maintenance 6 days NDF Crews cleared trees from the river channel.

11 MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS Completed the second phase of a multi-year perimeter fencing project which included installing 3600 lineal feet of 6 foot chain link fence with top rail. Installed nine more Bull litter fence panels. Dewatered approximately 3.2 million gallons of water from the sedimentation pond, utilizing the water for on-site dust suppression, which resulted in savings to the potable water system for the City of Elko. This also allowed for the cleaning of the sedimentation basin. This process took several months. Acquired a 40 foot waterproof container (Con-X box) for storage of alternative daily cover materials (Posi-shell). With assistance from the Facilities and IT Departments, a manual transfer switch was installed for backup power to the IT switching and relay panels on the small shop. This will allow for staff to set up portable generators, keeping the interconnectivity of the City computer and internet systems functioning during prolonged power outages.
12 MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS (continued) Spring and Fall Take Pride Days at the Landfill Evacuated Freon from 765 units, up 35 units from previous year. Rebuilt the undercarriage on the Caterpillar D8N dozer adding +/- 5 years of usage of the machine. Acquired a new fork attachment, to move the litter fencing, for the 966 Loader utilizing the Fusion hitch arrangement that came with the machine. Continued the Downtown Corridor trash collection program In conjunction with the IT Department, replaced the printers in the Scalehouse. Replaced the maintenance shop compressor. Two staff members attended the Storm Water Prevention Training. One staff member received a Technical Associate certification in Landfill Operations through the Solid Waste Association of North America.

Installed new scoreboard at the upper Kump Field Moved old scoreboard from the upper Kump Field to Newton Field Configured new art lighting at the Peace Park Installed electrical for the Fleet Department s new alignment rack and the new tire balancer Retrofitted LED lighting at the Train Park corridor Helped facilitate demolition of the old Police Department building Facilitated installation of smart thermostats, via NV Energy s Power-Shift Program, at the Police Department, Building Department, Engineering Department, Parks & Recreation/Fire 2, Animal Shelter Clinic, Water Shop Office, Public Works Office, Golf Clubhouse, and Fleet Shop office
17 MISCELLANEOUS Competed 687 work orders which included: 72 traffic related, 7 punch list items for the new police department building, 8 requests from IT, 157 electrical, 26 street lighting, 44 plumbing, 15 heating/cooling, 106 preventive maintenance, 131 utility maintenance, 9 traffic signal repairs plus 2 traffic signal pole knockdowns, 11 after-hour traffic call-in, 28 custodial extra duties, 9 vandalism repairs, and 62 USA Dig locates Repaired roof leak issues at the Engineering Department and Building Department Facilitated the Fleet wash bay re-roof Facilitated the Street Department cold shed rain gutter replacement New Roof Top Units for Animal Shelter Kennel building Acquired StreetSync software and Retrieve Traffic Controller programs for diagnostic and backup
