The revamped partnership gives both SemGroup and Gavillon 50 percent each in the 210-mile pipeline. Glass Mountain is expected to be completed by next fall. The project originally was announced in May as a joint venture between Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy, Omaha, Neb.-based trading firm Gavillon and SemGroup. SemGroup's spinoff, Rose Rock Midstream Partners LP, will operate the pipeline. Glass Mountain Pipeline will include two laterals, one originating near Alva in Woods County and the other near Arnett in Ellis County. The laterals will intersect near Cleo Springs and continue east to Cushing. The pipeline's initial capacity is expected to be about 140,000 barrels per day with 440,000 barrels of intermediate storage, according to reports. Chesapeake will maintain its long-term transportation agreement to move its crude oil production on the system, SemGroup said. The joint SemGroup-Gavillon venture also will own 1 million barrels of storage capacity at the Cushing hub. The Mississippi Lime is an oil-rich, historically developed limestone formation in northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas. Horizontal drilling has reopened the fields to many companies, including Chesapeake, Devon Energy Corp. of Okla- homa City and Tulsa-based Eagle Energy Co. SemGroup has not disclosed a dollar amount on the Glass Mountain Pipeline construction. INDUSTRY NEWS (Grand Junction, CO) Construction is expected to being this year on a 95-mile natural gas liquids pipeline in western Colorado and eastern Utah that was approved by the Bureau of Land Management Friday. The pipeline, called the Western Expansion Project II, will increase Enterprise Mid-America Pipeline's capacity for transporting natural gas liquids from Wyoming and Colorado to Hobbs, N.M. The pipeline will increase current capacity by 15,000 barrels per day. It follows an existing pipeline corridor across western Rio Blanco, Garfield, and Mesa counties in Colorado, and Uintah and Grand counties in Utah. BLM approved the right-of-way for the 60 miles that will cross federal land. Documents associated with this can be found at Enterprise Mid America Pipeline estimates that the project will employ 400 to 450 workers. Construction is anticipated to take about six months. 5 serves the heart of the Delaware Basin in Ward and Reeves Counties, Texas. Hoover owns and operates 100% of Pecos Crossing and operates Barstow Station. Barstow Station consists of 20,000 barrels of operational crude oil storage and associated measurement equipment. Barstow Station is located at the northern terminus of Pecos Crossing and delivers to Plains All American Pipeline s Barstow Pipeline. From Barstow Station, Plains extensive pipeline infrastructure provides delivery capability to multiple market outlets including Midland, Cushing and Crane, with connectivity to Magellan s Longhorn Pipeline. Initial capacity of Pecos Crossing is 50,000 barrels per day with the capability to increase capacity to 120,000 barrels per day. At the southern terminus, Hoover owns and operates Perry Ranch Station, where storage facilities receive crude oil from Plains truck facilities, a producer owned pipeline system and Hoover owned gathering laterals. Additional gathering lateral projects are underway and Hoover is developing a 20-mile, Phase II expansion into Pecos County, Texas. Pecos Crossing is a Texas Railroad Commission regulated common carrier. Additionally, Hoover affiliate, Pecos River Pipeline I, LP ( Pecos River ), announced that its Pecos River natural gas gathering system has begun construction of a producer supported compressor station and related 15-mile, 8-inch steel pipeline. Balmorhea Station will provide low pressure (30 PSIG) gathering for Pecos River s 80+ mile natural gas gathering infrastructure. Bulrush pipeline originates down-stream of Balmorhea Station and is designed to transport up to 65,000 MCFD of associated natural gas. Bulrush will deliver to Regency Energy Partners downstream of Regency s Station 799.
