Connect the elbow 2 to the drain pipe 1. B. Connect the discharge pipe 1 (32 mm o.d.) to the watertrap outlet 6. The discharge pipe should be as short as possible and should be run with a continuous incline to a floor gully, without reduction in area. A clear space of at least 150 mm is required below the unit for the water trap. 1. Drain pipe of the unit section. 2. Elbow. 3. Base frame or other support with a height of at least 150 mm. 4. U-bend mm i.d. outlet with compression coupling. 6. Floor gully. 7. Non-return valve with cleaning cover.

2 Installation and maintenance instruction 2 CLEANING THE WATER TRAP The water trap must be unscrewed and re-assembled by hand. Check that the pipes/hoses are not blocked and cleanany dirt and deposits from the water trap. C 0 MAINTENANCE INTERVAL 6 months. Check and clean the water trap. N.B. The water trap and discharge pipe must not be subjected to temperatures below freezing. If the unit is installed outdoors, the drain pipe, water trap and discharge pipe should be insulated. When starting the fan, make sure that the intake damper is open. The maximum permissible pressure differential when the damper is closed is 1000 Pa. Maximum torque loading on the damper: 30 Nm. insulation External dampers are supplied with a cover over the lever actuator system. This permits external insulation of the damper. External damper is always 200 mm wide. Internal damper is 100 mm wide for size eq and for eq mm. You can get damper blades in density class CEN 3 and CEN4 and insulated (Optional). 8 8641 GB AUTOMATIC PURGING VALVE EQAZ-19» INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION EQAZ-19 AUTOMATIC PURGING VALVE WITH NIPPLE Min. 12 GENERAL The type EQAZ-19 is an automatic float-controlled airpurging valve incorporating a non-return valve. The valve is designed for use in water circuits at maximum conditions of 115 C and 1,1 MPa (11 bar). The valve is impervious to high water temperature and to water containing an anti-freeze. Each valve is pressure-tested and checked for tightness prior to delivery. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION The float drops as air accumulates in the housing, allowing the valve to open and discharge the air. Water then fills the housing, lifting the float and closing the valve R3/8" ø 34 R3/8" 14 R3/8" INSTALLATION The valve must be installed vertically with the vent facing upwards. Note that a minimum clearance of 12 mm must be provided above the cap. The non-return valve and purging valve are supplied separately. The non-return valve should be fitted in an the nipple before mounting the purging valve in position. The non-return valve is provided with a gasket, providing a self-sealing joint between it and the housing. OPERATION In service, the valve cap on top of the purging valve should be unscrewed two turns. Purging cannot take place if the cap is screwed down fully. 0 cm Valve cap MAINTENANCE The valve may be cleaned as follows if leakage occurs due to the ingress of dirt: Unscrew the housing from the non-return valve, leaving the latter in position in the nipple. Fit the cowl as follows: Fit the cowl top panels centrally over the protective screen and secure itwith self-tapping screws as shown. Secure the cowl side panels to the unit casing and to the top panel by means of self-tapping screws as shown. (2) Slide the rods into the folds provided at each end of the fabricand then through each of the end holes (3) at the ends of the support brackets. Secure with the cotter pins provided.
