1 TECHNICAL BULLETIN DA0-TB MODEL DA0 DO- SERIES IVP PRESSURE REDUCING REGULATORS SM PISTON, PILOT-OPERATED Model DA0 is a pilot-operated steam reducing regulator with a piston design. The internal pressure balanced plug/piston provides high fl ow capacity and moderate pressure drop capability. Applied as a steam service valve only. Maximum operating steam pressure is 250 psig (17.2 Barg) at 406 F (208 C). FEATURES Versatile: Two basic body materials to select from. Pilot provides outlet pressure control to ± 2 psi. DO- trim design provides FTO and pres sure balancing for higher in let pressure. Results in unmatched sensitivity and sta bil i ty. Internals are cage-con tained with in eas i ly re mov able quick change trim. Basic valve gives outstanding rangeability due to close tolerances, balanced trim, and soft seats. Can be as high as 500:1. Both top and bottom guided to maintain stability and increased trim and seal life. Fails closed on loss of pilot loading pressure. Fails open on loss of P 1 or P 2 pressures with load ing pres sure yet ap plied. APPLICATIONS STEAM SERVICE ONLY!
