Intelligent Cruise Cntrl (ICC) 6 : Uses radar t maintain a set distance between the X-TRAIL and the vehicle ahead, even braking t help maintain that distance (Ti mdel grade). Intelligent Emergency Braking 6 : Can help a driver avid a ptential cllisin by applying the vehicle s brakes if necessary when travelling at speeds f upwards f 5km/h (all X-TRAIL mdel grades). Delivering 130kW f pwer at 3,750rpm and a peak trque f 380Nm frm nly 2,000rpm it delivers strng acceleratin and excellent fuel efficiency, using 6.0-litres f diesel per 100km 4 travelled. This respnsive 2.0-litre turb-diesel pwer unit, available with the Xtrnic transmissin with 4WD, replaces the utging 1.6-litre turb-diesel, which delivered 96kW f pwer and 320Nm f trque. The 2.0-litre X-TRAIL ST manual cnsumes 8.2-litres per 100 kilmetres traveled and emits 190g f CO2 per kilmetre 4. The 2.5-litre engine is available in all three mdel grades ST, ST-L and Ti and returns a strng blend f perfrmance and efficiency, cnsuming as little as 7.9l/100km 4 in the 2WD X-TRAIL ST. 8 Media Infrmatin ST-L Ti / TL The 2WD-nly 2.0-litre pwered X-TRAIL ST uses a smth-shifting six-speed manual transmissin whereas all 2.5-litre variants (available in bth 2WD and 4WD) are mated t Nissan s Xtrnic CVT with manual mde (MCVT). This transmissin s brad gear rati cverage and lw-frictin design help deliver strng acceleratin and fuel ecnmy. All Xtrnic-equipped X-TRAIL mdel grades cme fitted with an ECO mde buttn, lcated n the dashbard in the lwer-right area near the steering clumn. This functin maximises fuel ecnmy by cntrlling the engine and transmissin peratin t help avid rapid acceleratin by the driver. In ECO mde, the driver receives visual feedback in the Advanced Drive-Assist Display (situated in frnt f the driver in the instrument cluster) abut the amunt f fuel being used relative t the amunt f acceleratr pedal input, prviding guidance as t the mst efficient driving technique. The 4WD X-TRAIL cmes equipped with Nissan s advanced Intelligent 4x4 system t deliver excellent tractin in a variety f driving cnditins. Cntrlled by the driver using a simple centre cnsle-munted rtary dial, Intelligent 4x4 has three settings: 2WD mde, AUTO mde and LOCK mde. In 2WD mde, 100 per cent f the engine s drive is transferred t the X-TRAIL s frnt wheels, making it the mst ecnmical mde fr nrmal driving cnditins. If the vehicle detects a lss f tractin, the system will autmatically engage all-wheel drive t assist the driver in these cnditins. In AUTO mde, the system cntinually mnitrs all fur wheels and instantly distributes the ideal amunt f trque between them. The LOCK mde permanently engages the drive pwer t the rear wheels, delivering a 50:50 trque split between the frnt and rear wheels. The LOCK mde perates at speeds belw 40km/h. Abve this speed, the system reverts t AUTO mde. Bth 2WD and 4WD variants f the X-TRAIL cme fitted with Hill Start assist (HSA), which autmatically keeps the vehicle s brakes applied when taking ff frm an incline t help prevent the driver frm rlling backwards when setting ff. 4WD-equipped X-TRAIL variants are equipped with Hill Descent Cntrl (HDC), which uses the car s ABS braking system t cntrl the X-TRAIL s speed at apprximately 7km/h when traversing particularly steep dwnhill terrain.

9 Media Infrmatin Chassis, suspensin and steering The 2017 X-TRAIL s uni-bdy (mncque) structure has been ptimised t reduce rad, wind and mechanical nise. These enhancements include the fitment f additinal damping material and sund absrptin materials in areas f the flr and bdy pillars. The frnt suspensin is an independent strut design and the rear uses a multi-link set-up, prviding excellent handling and ride cmfrt. All X-TRAIL mdel grades cme fitted with fur-wheel ventilated disc brakes, ABS anti-lck braking system, Electrnic Brakefrce Distributin (EBD), and Brake Assist (BA). The X-TRAIL uses Electric Pwer Steering (EPS), helping t reduce fuel cnsumptin by aviding the need fr an engine-driven hydraulic pump. The X-TRAIL uses an EPS lgic system which enables high stability and less bdy mtin. Steering effrt is autmatically varied accrding t the driving cnditins. Three clever innvatins feature n the new Nissan X-TRAIL, all designed t imprve driving perfrmance: Intelligent Ride Cntrl, Intelligent Engine Brake and Intelligent Trace Cntrl (ITC). Fitted t all X-TRAIL variants, Intelligent Ride Cntrl mnitrs the rad surface t detect undulatins which culd ptentially upset the pitch f the car bdy and makes subtle adjustments t the engine s trque t cmpensate. Intelligent Engine Brake, fitted t all 2.5-litre-pwered, CVT-equipped variants, harnesses the pwer and cntrllability f the Xtrnic transmissin t add a degree f engine braking while crnering r when decelerating t a standstill. The benefits are shrter stpping distances, greater braking cntrl and enhanced feel with less pedal effrt. The X-TRAIL als features Intelligent Trace Cntrl (ITC), which applies braking frce where necessary when crnering. Fitted t all X-TRAIL variants, it uses n-bard sensrs t mnitr speed, steering angle, thrttle pening and braking effrt and brakes wheels individually, as required, t reduce understeer and help the driver steer a safer path thrugh bends; it is particularly effective n slippery, wet rads. 10 Media Infrmatin The X-TRAIL ST and ST-L are fitted with 17-inch ally wheels in a new design, wearing 225/65 R17 tyres. The range-leading Ti and TL grades are fitted with 19-inch ally wheels (previusly 18-inches) wearing 225/60 R19 tyres. A space-saving temprary spare wheel (steel) is fitted t all mdel grades. Equipment Nissan has equipped the 2017 X-TRAIL with generus equipment-rich mdel grades. Fr 2017, there are a number f new-equipment highlights. They are listed and detailed belw. Heated steering wheel: unifrmly heats the wheel t 20-degrees Celsius abve the ambient temperature within three minutes f being activated. High-Beam Assist: when High-beam is the system can detect an ncming vehicle and autmatically adjust t a standard beam, then revert back t high beam nce vehicle has passed (Ti and TL mdel grades).
