4 0 The range of HMI products comprises PC enclosures, compact and combinable consoles, and swing arm systems with control housings. The PC enclosure is based on the floor standing design and is suitable for office and factory environments. The console range is available in both mild steel and stainless steel, and the control housing range is available in mild steel and aluminium. Eldon s HMI range of products can be used, for example, for hosting control units, industrial PCs and display components. The HMI range has been designed to comply with the standard for empty enclosures, IEC 62208, with various degrees of protection, including IP, 5, 55 and 66 according to IEC 60529, and IK 10 according to IEC The consoles are available in two different designs, Compact and Combinable. The compact is made in one piece and the combinable consists of three different sections: base, desk and top section. The control housing is available in mild steel and aluminium, complemented by two ranges of Swing Arm systems, made of aluminium, which can be configured modularly, and customized according to the specific requirements of the application at hand. Certification has been obtained with GOST and EAC for the whole HMI range, and with UL and CSA for the consoles, which makes export easier, especially for machine builders. 5 PC Enclosure Range Mild Steel Typical Application PC Enclosure Process Automation Machines The PC enclosure is divided into three different sections and is delivered with dedicated PC accessories such as a keyboard tray, a transparent door, and shelves. The different sections of the enclosure allow easy accommodation of computer equipment. The monitor is placed in the top section, the keyboard and mouse in the middle, and a printer or any other electrical equipment in the lower. This solution provides good protection for the computer equipment and accessories in industrial environments. Process automation application Designed for industrial applications and especially for applications in process industries such as the pulp & paper, metals, mining, cement or automotive, the MCM from Eldon not only looks good but has the intrinsic qualities required to deliver outstanding performance and reliability. Using the robust steel frame of the combinable fl oor standing range, it provides permanent and dependable protection for sensitive control electronics in arduous production environments with unique ergonomics. With numerous possible variations and a wide range of accessories, the MCM can be tailor-made for your demanding applications. Machine builders Normally the machines included in a manufacturing process require a local interface with the operator and, at the same time, they work integrated in a complete manufacturing process. 11 Console Range Mild steel Typical Application Mild Steel Process automation Machines The compact Console has a sloping top panel and offers both front and rear access. The sloped (12 ) top panel is for HMI components. Thanks to a mechanical panel retainer, it can be placed in an open position. The modular Console system is divided into three sections; base, middle and top. They can all be used together, e.g. base + top, or base + middle, or with one section only. This allows for multiple tailored solutions. Process Automation Application Eldon s mild steel enclosures are the perfect choice for machines where speed is of the essence in enhancing productivity in industries such as assembly, sheet metal processing, and fabricating systems. The MPG used in the application is fl exible, easy to operate, with a robust design and available in a wide range of dimensions. The mild steel consoles were used for protecting control units, industrial PCs and display components. IP 66 rate was considered the best choice to encapsulate critical and sensitive devices in such a demanding environment. Machines When it is required to send instructions to the machine locally, the MPG compact console is a perfect solution for assembling the HMI in the top panel. 12 0 Convenient access In both the compact and modular constructions panels are removable, which makes it easier to drill, make cut-outs, cabling and/or mounting internal components. In addition, the rear panel is removable and it can be replaced by a rear door. Wide range of dimensions The compact and the modular console systems are available directly from stock in five different widths: 600, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1600 mm.
