1 EARTHING Personal protection The Eldon enclosures are provided with various earthing points. All panels (excluding certain gland plates) are equipped with a copper-plated or stainless steel earthing stud. The frame or body of the Stainless steel enclosures, and the wall mounting enclosures (Multi-Mount ) have two studs so one can be used as a Protected Earth (PE). The frames of the Multi-Flex series, MCS, MCD, MKS, MKD are equipped with contact washers so the earthing points can be mounted on any space available. To ensure that these earthing points will give you the desired protection, Eldon has verified their products by testing at the independent institute TNO in The Netherlands.
