The sides are lined with black and white circle-cross reflectors. They were built in September 1963, and run on coil elliptic trucks. Although they display the XAP designation, these cars had a 180,000 pound capacity for handling automobile engines and other heavy components. # $28.95 # $28.95 Zahori Road Number GATX 1705 This 56 general service tank car is painted black with white herald and lettering, yellow reflectors, and red, white and green Mexican flag. It also bears red end markings. It was built January 1988 and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. Industrias Zahori began operations in 1984 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. It is dedicated to manufacturing and marketing of waterproofing and roofing materials. It also has a division specializing in the maintenance of asphalt pavements on highways, airports and urban roads, mainly. United States Air Force Road Number DAFX This 33 twin bay hopper with rib sides is painted blue with white logos and lettering. It was built in October 1950 and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. End lettering is in white. The car was built in January 1911 by General American, repainted in July 1934, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. It was a single car repainted for Manhattan Brewing Company of Chicago, brewers of Old Manhattan lager. BREWERY REEFER SERIES CAR #8 Staroline Road Number WSRX 438 This 39 single dome tank car is painted aluminum white and blue logo, red herald, and black and white lettering. The tanker was built in August 1931 by American Car & Foundry and runs on Bettendorf trucks. This 39 tank car is owed by White Star Petroleum and bares the Staroline gasoline brand. 2 Southern Pacific Road Number SP This three bay Centerflow covered hopper with elongated hatches is painted gray with black herald and lettering. It was buil in February 1983 by American Car & Foundry and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. This hopper is an AAR designated Class LO Special Car Type, a self-clearing permanently enclosed car, having fixed roof, sides, and ends. Openings are fitted with weather-tight covers or doors. Car also provided with bottom openings with tight fitting covers or doors to prevent leakage of such commodities as sand, etc. Canadian National Road Number CN This 50 standard box car with plug and sliding doors and no roofwalk is painted box car red with white wet noodle CN logo and white lettering in both English and French. It was built in December 1972 and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. The Canadian National Railway Company is a Canadian Class I railway headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, that serves Canada and the Midwestern/Southern United States. CN s slogan is North America s Railroad. SP is a registered trademark of the Union Pacific Railroad. # $28.75 # $23.95 Norfolk Southern Road Number NS Pennsylvania Railroad Road Number PENNSYLVANIA This 57 6 converted TOFC flat car is painted brown with white NS logo in the Classic Format with white lettering. It was built in June 1987 and runs the Southern District on Roller Bearing trucks. This single hitch TOFC car was originally built as a box car in the late 1950s. In the 1980s it was converted to an intermodal car; then again in the early 1990s it was refurbished and renumbered into its present NS series. This 50 steel gondola with low cover is painted brown with black and white keystone logo and white lettering. It was built in May 1957 by American Car & Foundry and ran the Allegheny District on Bettendorf trucks. It ran the rails from 1957 (per service date) until the early 1970s. Some in this series were equipped with racks for handling automobile frames. 3 Northern Pacific Road Numbers 152 / 154 NEW BODYSTYLE! 51 Rivet Side Mechanical Reefer YOUR SOURCE FOR Z Canadian National Road Numbers / These 51 mechanical reefers with rivet sides, single plug doors and no roofwalks are painted aluminum with red, white and black Monad logos. They run on Roller Bearing trucks. Built in January 1956 by Pacific Car & Foundry Company, these rivet side mechanical refrigerators wear the standard scheme for NP mechanical refrigerators aluminum sides, ends, and roofs, with a 5 herald. These cars were used to transport frozen foods. The electrical heating features were used for shipping produce, for example, cherries, and apples from Washington, potatoes from Minnesota s Red River Valley and fish and bananas from Seattle. These 51 mechanical reefers with rivet sides, single plug doors and no roofwalks are painted with yellow sides, black roofs and ends, and run on Roller Bearing trucks. They were built in December 1962 by Pacific Car & Foundry for North American Car Corporation (NIRX) and leased to Canadian National. CN purchased the cars shortly thereafter and renumbered them in the series during the major renumbering in They display the wet noodle logo with the English spelling of Canadian on both sides of the car. By 1982, the two remaining F s were demoted to B-unit status because of their older, obsolete brake system. In September of 1984, several of the founding members of the Feather River Rail Society acquired their first acquisition, Western Pacific F7 #921, housed in the old WP Diesel shop in Portola, now a world class railroad museum The EMD F7 was a 1,500 horsepower (1,100 kw) Diesel-electric locomotive produced between February 1949 and December 1953 by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors (EMD) and General Motors Diesel (GMD). WWII Bungay Buckaroo Road Number This 60 Flat Car is painted Olive Drab with white lettering and carries a 40 gray container featuring real WWII nose art known as Buckaroo. Like many planes in WWII, this B-24J bomber was decorated with custom artwork by its pilot to personalize the plane. This limited run of 54 ft 23,000 gallon CGTX tank cars with a minimum run of 50 sets, will be an excellent gift for all Modern North American Rail fans! The CGTX cars will be sold in three different 4 packs. Each 4 Pack will feature a slightly different CGTX layout.
