12 installation and operation recommendation switchgear ageing withstandinanmv substation depends on 3 main factors: H The need for proper implementation of connections: the new retractable and cold slip --- on technologies offer an ease of installation which encourages long---term withstand. Their design allows operation in polluted environments with severe atmosphere. H Ventilation control: grid dimension must be suited to the power lost in the substation. These grids must be placed near the transformer only, so as to prevent air circulation on the MV switchboard. H Theinfluenceoftherelative humidity factor: installation of heating resistors is essential in climates with a high relative humidity rate and with large temperature differences. operation We strongly recommend that you regularly carry out, (at least roughly every 2 years), a few operating cycles on the switching devices. Outside normal operating conditions (between -- 5 C and 40 C, no dust or corrosive gas, etc.), we recommend that you examine together with our Schneider Electric group services centre, the measures that must be taken to ensure proper operation of the installation. Our service centre is at your disposal at all times to: H Conduct an installation diagnosis.
