2 D: Suction arms Sheet D1 MINI FLEX Suction arms Technical Specifications MINI FLEX arms have a diameter of 75 mm and are available in 1 and 1.5 meter lengths. Two models are proposed: - MINI FLEX wall mount - MINI FLEX work bench The MINI FLEX are the ideal tools for capturing fumes, vapors, for benchwork, on stationary machines or laboratory benchtops. They are useful for welding tin, brazing, sanding, TIG welding, MINI PLASMA, resistance welding, chemical and photo laboratory vapors. The arms are supplied with a universal mounting bracket that allows direct installation on the wall or the worktop depending on the selected model. The arms are equipped with whistle nozzle and a rotating register to modify the suction flow. The tubes are in lacquered aluminium, which ensures the MINI FLEX arms' industrial robustness. Optionally, they can have quarts iodide light, different types of nozzles, and may be equipped with an individual fan or can be installed in the network. 10 D: Suction arms Sheet D5 AZUR PLUS crane for POLYARTICULE suction arm Arm pressure drop Table Pa m³/h The AZUR PLUS jib cranes are to be used with POLYARTICULE wall mounted arms. They offer these, flexibility, manoeuvrability and can increase the size of the work area. An AZUR PLUS jib crane, light and robust, can withstand a maximum load of 50 kg or your MIG/MAG dispenser reel. Even with this additional load, the jib crane and arm are easy to adjust. The brackets are supplied equipped with a basic rail attached to the horizontal arm to support the components of a dispenser reel. 3 lengths are available: 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 m. The arm fixed at end of the jib crane rotates 360 unde r it, leaving no dead zone under the jib crane. Jib crane features An AZUR PLUS extension arm includes: Its wall bracket with pivoting ball bearings and friction brake. A 2, 3 or 4 m arm length can be fixed on the carriage of the rail and can move very easily over its whole length. The large operation range of cranes allows, without dead spots, to cover a large work range radius of 8 m (26'3") within about 180. PEBE AZUR Crane Characteristics of the extension arm An AZUR PEBE extension arm includes: Its wall bracket with pivoting ball bearings and friction brake. Two tubular sections with a horizontal axis on ball bearings. The telescopic arm with a 1.6 m vertical travel length. The entire 160 mm rigid and flexible ducts for connecting it with the arm and the fan or with the network. 17 D: Suction arms Sheet D9 Automatic Controls for arm Light Detector: LIGHT SENSOR Technical Specifications The light detector is a complement of the ENERGY SAVER and motorised shutters. It is used with the AZUR arms in the event that the detection of a welding current is not possible or when its very low. It reacts to changes in brightness and therefore detects the emission of light at the commencement or at the end of the welding or brazing operation. It can be connected in parallel with the current detector of the motorised shutter or from the ENERGY SAVER, for joint detection of current/ lighting. A sensitivity setting should be carried out at the commissioning, depending on the light source to be detected. The light detector will be placed in the majority of cases close to the nozzle of the capturing arm. However, it may be placed on a wall at a distance from the light source not exceeding 3 m and without direct sunlight. Curves of fans The scroll which equips these fans is in painted steel with a thickness 1.5 mm and is very resistant. The turbine of the fans is in aluminium which prevents the formation of sparks. The fans are EC compliant and are equipped with protective grills at the air intake and outlet. The AZUR 1.33 and 2.1 fans are recommended to be mounted directly on the POLYARTICULE, EXTENSIBLES or ECOFLEX arm mounting bracket. The detection is done by a current welding detection sensor placed on the mass cable. It optimizes the capturing flow at an opportune arc time, reduces the overall exhaust flow and will result in significant heating cost savings. Generally, the real arc time is in the neighbourhood of 40 per cent of the work time.
