1 a p r i l 2014 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Greetings to all of our Members. I think most of us are really anxious to see bare ground, so lets remember that there are some things we can t control. Mother Nature and Father Time are two of those things. Our patience will be rewarded if we have any left after our winter of cold and snow. Spring is coming and we are ready. I think the more spring fever we get the more our members are willing to volunteer for our Summer Festival. We need more volunteers to make it a success for our Club. Keep them tractors rolling. Bob Clark, President April Meeting Highlights The meeting was held at Bill & Harriet Clark s home in Skowhegan with over 50 members present. Our snow birds are coming home. Warren & Eva Davenport were at the meeting. We received two $100 donations to the Land Development Matching Fund. Thank you very, very much. Tractor Supply in Skowhegan donated a new propane heater for our building. In return we are going to have a tractor show at the store sometime in May. From now on we are going to receive interest on the money in our checking account. We will no longer have to pay a service charge. It was voted to donate $100 to Maine Agriculture in the Classroom. It was voted to take up a collection next meeting to sponsor a bike for a drawing at Maine Farm Days. It was announced EDGE&TA insurance will no longer cover the barrel train and people mover. It was voted to host the Northeast Regional EDGE&TA Show in Two scholarship applications have been received so far. The suitcase weights on the tractors are going to be allowed. The new pulling rules will be on the website soon. At the meeting another $100 donation to the Land Development Matching Fund was made. Another $50 was donated by the members present.
