Issue #91 June 2015 Message from Kelly & Susan Well it seems that spring, and maybe summer, finally decided to arrive this past Memorial Day weekend.

We kicked off Wild Wednesday Bike Nights on May 27 th but unfortunately the rain and wind arrived just as we got started and put an early end to the party.

Now that summer is around the corner, we look forward to enjoying all the wonderful rides and events that make owning a motorcycle in this area so much fun.

It was nice to see so many of you out riding and enjoying the wonderful weather. We kicked off Wild Wednesday Bike Nights on May 27 th but unfortunately the rain and wind arrived just as we got started and put an early end to the party. Circle Wednesday nights on your calendar and join us for the largest weekly bike nights of the summer at Buffalo Wild Wings. Now that summer is around the corner, we look forward to enjoying all the wonderful rides and events that make owning a motorcycle in this area so much fun. One of the events we look forward to each year is the annual MDA charity ride sponsored by the Erie HOG Chapter. We know that the chapter leadership has another great event planned for everyone on June 14 th and hopefully the weather will be better this year not sure it could be any worse than last year. Also, if you haven t heard our dealership will be OPEN SUNDAYS FROM 11 AM - 3 PM from June 1 st through August 31 st to help you make the most of the summer riding season. Harley-Davidson of Erie, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Miller Lite have teamed up again to bring you another great bike night season every Wednesday night from May 27 th thru September 9 th from 6 to 9 PM. If you are looking for something fun to do with other motorcycle enthusiasts then make plans to join us every Wednesday night for live music, food & beverage specials, and FREE prizes! Meet the Miller Lite Girls and enjoy $1 HAMBURGERS from the patio grill. Also don t forget to register for the nightly drawings and a chance to win a Miller Lite cooler and/or a Harley-Davidson backpack. International Motorcycle Ride to Work Day June 15 Did you know that Monday, June 15 th is the 24 th Annual International Motorcycle & Scooter Ride to Work Day? The purpose of this day is to advocate and support the use of motorcycles and scooters for transportation. Harley-Davidson of Erie will offer FREE snacks from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM for all people who RIDE their motorcycle to the shop on Monday, June 15 th for lunch with us.

This charity ride originates from Harley-Davidson of Erie and includes a day full of riding and fun. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and the cost is $10 Single Rider/$15 Couple with all proceeds benefiting Cody s Wheels of Hope. 23 rd Annual MDA Miles for Smiles Ride Sunday, June 14 The 23 rd Annual MDA Miles for Smiles Ride, sponsored by the Erie Harley Owners Group (HOG), will be held on Sunday, June 14 th.

4 23 rd Annual MDA Miles for Smiles Ride Sunday, June 14 The 23 rd Annual MDA Miles for Smiles Ride, sponsored by the Erie Harley Owners Group (HOG), will be held on Sunday, June 14 th. This popular event raises funds to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and this year participants will travel on a leisurely and scenic route through Erie & Crawford counties to get their card stamped at each of the 5 stops - no poker hands this year. Registration will be at Harley-Davidson of Erie from 10 a.m. until noon with the first bike out at 10 a.m. and the last bike out at noon. The first 500 registrants will receive an Official MDA collectible pin! The cost is $10 per person and everyone who completes the route is eligible to win CASH PRIZES! There will be a random drawing to select winners and music by Jackson Station and DJ Bill Page. All bikes are welcome to participate. You may get your MDA registration form(s) online at or by stopping at Harley-Davidson of Erie. Complete your registration form(s) early to avoid the line at registration on Sunday, June 14 th. We will have four days of demo rides from Wednesday, July 15 through Saturday, July 18 from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. each day. Vendor Village will open on Tuesday and include national motorcycle industry vendors: Biker s Choice, Vance & Hines, Cobra and Kuryakyn as well as several quality vendors who attend other bike rallies across the country. We will have live music each afternoon at our Roadhouse Happy Hour Party with food and beverage specials. Make sure to join us for our Wild Wednesday Bike Night on July 15 th with live music by the band Geneva. On Friday, we will host a charity poker run to help raise funds for the Injured Motorcycle Riders Foundation with live music by KISS Army that evening. On Saturday morning join us for the Guinness World Record attempt for Largest HARLEY-DAVIDSON Parade and then come over that evening to enjoy the #1 Guns N Roses tribute band NIGHTRAIN. 7 1 st Annual Heart to Heart Blood Drive June 27 Please come to our dealership and donate blood during the 1 st Annual heart to Heart Blood Drive in honor of Jake Schwab on Saturday, June 27 th from 9 AM until 1 PM. This event is sponsored by South Erie Turners, Harley-Davidson of Erie and the Injured Motorcycle Riders Foundation. The first 20 blood donors will receive a H-D of Erie Bikefest t-shirt and also 20 random donors will receive $100 Harley-Davidson of Erie gift cards. The Original Breakfast Place will provide coffee, juice & snacks for all blood donors, too.

Registration is from 9 AM to Noon and for a $10 donation participants will receive a free plate of food from Scooters. There will be live music by Rick Magee & the Roadhouse Rockers from 3-6 PM and prizes for the top three scores. 100% of proceeds go to Northwestern PA Alzheimer s Association of Erie.
