1 Fuel System Improvements Project Elements East Bay Fuel Facilities 1.0. North Area Service Center Fuel System 3999 Lakeside Drive, Richmond, CA (Contra Costa County) Located in the City of Richmond at the District s North Area Maintenance Yard. This facility has four dual dispenser units serving diesel and gasoline from each dispenser. The dispensers are served from a single 4,000 gallon Aboveground Storage Tank (AST), (separated 2,000 for diesel and 2,000 for gasoline). This site has an existing tank monitoring system as it connected to the District s FuelMaster System SD-1 WWTP Fuel System 2020 Wake Ave, Oakland, CA (Alameda County) Located in the City of Oakland at the District s Wastewater Treatment Plant. This facility has four shelf mounted pumps, two for diesel and two for gasoline. The dispensers are served from a single 2,000 gallon AST, (1,000 for diesel and 1,000 for gasoline). This site has an existing tank monitoring system as it connected to the District s FuelMaster System Adeline Fuel Facility 2100 Poplar Street Oakland, CA (Alameda County) This is a dedicated fuel facility located in West Oakland adjacent the Districts Central Maintenance Yard. This fuel station has four dual dispenser cabinets. Three of these dispensers serve both diesel and gasoline, and one dispenser serves gasoline from both hoses. The dispensers are served from two 12,000 gallon underground tanks one for diesel and one for gasoline respectively. This site has an existing tank monitoring system as it 1.1 Design/upgrade cabinet dispensers 1.2 Evaluate replacing one of the diesel pumps with a high capacity pump 1.3 Design new Diesel Exhaust Fluid dispenser, 1.4 Design/replace tank monitoring system 1.5 Design/upgrade wiring as required 2.1 Design/upgrade fuel dispensers 2.2 Design new Diesel Exhaust Fluid dispenser, 2.3 Design/upgrade wiring as required 2.4 Design/replace tank monitoring system 3.1 Design/upgrade cabinet dispensers 3.2 Evaluate replacing one of the diesel pumps with a high capacity pump 3.3 Design new Diesel Exhaust Fluid dispenser, 3.4 Design/upgrade wiring as required 3.5 Design/replace tank monitoring system 3.6 Design/upgrade electrical and 3.7 Evaluate cover gaskets for underground storage tanks spill containment, design repair as needed. Oakport Storage Center Fuel System 5601 Oakport Street, Oakland, CA (Alameda County) Located in the southern portion of the City of Oakland, this facility has two shelf mounted pumps one for diesel and one for gasoline. The dispensers are served from two separate 1,000 gallon ASTs. This site has an existing tank monitoring system and it is 5.0. Orinda Watershed Headquarters Fuel System 500 San Pablo Dam Road, Orinda, CA94563 (Contra Costa County) Located in the southern end of the San Pablo Reservoir in the City of Orinda. This facility has two dispenser units each with a single hose. The dispensers are served from two separate underground tanks. The diesel tank is 1,000 gallons and the gasoline tank is 2,000 gallons. This site has an existing tank monitoring system and it is 6.0. San Pablo Recreation Area Fuel System 7301 San Pablo Dam Road, El Sobrante, CA94803 (Contra Costa County) Located at the San Pablo Reservoir Marina in the City of El Sobrante. This facility has a single shelf mounted pump connected to a 1,000 gallon tank for gasoline only. This facility of used primarily by the concessionaire of the recreation facility. This site does not have a tank monitoring system and it is not connected to the District s FuelMaster System Walnut Creek Pumping Plant Fuel System 1841 Geary Road, Walnut Creek, CA (Contra Costa County) Located at District s raw water pumping plant in the City of Walnut Creek. This facility has two shelf mounted dispensers, one for diesel and one for gasoline. The dispensers are served by a separated 1,000 gallon tank, 500 gallons for diesel and 500 gallons for gasoline. This site has an existing tank monitoring system and it is connected to the 4.1 Design/upgrade dispenser 4.2 Design new Diesel Exhaust Fluid dispenser, 4.3 Design/upgrade electrical and 4.4 Design/replace tank monitoring system 5.1 Design/upgrade dispenser 5.2 Evaluate addition of a high capacity diesel pump 5.3 Design new Diesel Exhaust Fluid dispenser, 5.4 Design/upgrade electrical and 5.5 Design/replace tank monitoring system 6.1 Design/upgrade dispenser 6.2 Evaluate tank condition, and design tank ground containment. 6.3 Design new concrete pad at fueling area. 6.4 Modify AST to allow for ground level 7.1 Design/upgrade dispensers 7.2 Evaluate tank options to install larger separated tank. 7.3 Modify AST to allow for ground level 7.4 Design/replace tank monitoring system Page 2 of 6

This facility has a single diesel fuel dispenser. The dispenser is served from a 12,000 gallon underground tank. This site does have a tank monitoring system, but it is not 9.0. South Area Service Center Fuel System 8.1 Remove and dispose of exiting fuel tank and island 8.2 Design new dispenser system, and service island with AST, dual fuel type (gasoline and diesel) and appurtenances 8.3 Design facilities to add new FuelMaster Unit and connect to District System 8.4 Evaluate adding high capacity pump 8.5 Design/replace new fuel monitoring system 8.6 Design/upgrade electrical and 589 E. Lewelling Blvd, San Lorenzo, CA (Alameda County) Located on EBMUD property at the South Area Service Center in the southern portion of the City of 9.0 Design phase 2 EVR systems for fuel San Lorenzo. The Facility has two 12,000 gallon facilities underground storage tanks, one for diesel and one for gasoline. There are two cabinet dispensers each with two hoses Castenada Service Center Fuel System 5050 Crow Canyon Road, San Ramon, CA (Contra Costa County) Located in the City of San Ramon on the District s Castenada Service Yard. The facilities consist of two, 10.0 Evaluate existing facilities and design 1,000 gallon ASTs; one for diesel and one for systems to meet Phase 2 EVR gasoline. There are two cabinet dispensers each 10.1 Replace/upgrade tank monitoring system having one hose. This site has an existing tank 10.2 Evaluate and develop recommendations monitoring system and it is connected to the Bixler Maintenance Center Fuel System Orwood Road at Bixler Road, Brentwood, CA (Contra Costa County) Located in the District s aqueduct service yard just north of Discovery Bay. The site has two 1, Evaluate existing facilities and design gallon ASTs, one for diesel and one for gasoline. The systems to meet Phase 2 EVR cabinet dispensers have two hoses each. The site has two 1, Evaluate existing facilities and design gallon ASTs, one for diesel and one for gasoline. The systems to meet Phase 2 EVR cabinet dispensers have two hoses each. This site 12.1 Replace/upgrade tank monitoring system has an existing tank monitoring system and it is 12.2 Evaluate and develop recommendations Camanche South Shore Marina Fuel System Wade Lane, Valley Springs, CA (Calaveras County) RETAIL: Located at the Camanche South Shore Recreation Area this facility has two retail 13.0 Replace existing pumps with a single dispensers. One dispenser is for 91 octane and one cabinet serving a single product is for 87 octane gasoline. Currently only the Evaluate and recommend a dispenser octane pump is working. The pumps are served with pay at the pump features from a separated 10,000 gal AST (2,700/7,300) Remove and dispose of existing 10,000 This site is operated by the District s concessionaire gallon tank California Parks Company. This site has an existing 13.3 Evaluate/Design alternate location for tank monitoring system but is not connected to the new AST 13.4 Design new piping, electrical and appurtenances as needed 13.5 Design new fuel monitoring system Camanche South Shore Maintenance Yard Fuel System Wade Lane, Valley Springs, CA (Calaveras County) Located at the Camanche South Shore Recreation Area this facility has two shelf-mounted dispensers Design/upgrade dispensers The dispensers are mounted on a separated 1, Evaluate tank condition, and design tank gallon tank, 500 gallons for diesel and 500 gallons ground containment for gasoline. This site is operated by the District s 14.2 Design new concrete pad at fueling area concessionaire California Parks Company. This site 14.3 Modify AST to allow for ground level does not have a tank monitoring system and is not Page 4 of 6

Camanche North Shore Marina Fuel System 2000 Camanche Road, Ione, CA (Amador County) RETAIL: Located at the Camanche North Shore Recreation Area this facility has two single cabinet 15.0 Evaluate safety of dock fuel dispensing dispensers located on a floating dock. The pumps system are served from two separate ASTs located on land 15.1 Remove unused dispenser and approximately 500 feet north of the dock and appurtenances marina store. Currently only one dispenser is in 15.2 Replace/ upgrade dock dispenser, service. This site is operated by the District s evaluate pay at the pump options concessionaire California Parks Company. This site 15.3 Remove three unused ASTs. does have a tank monitoring system, but is not 15.4 Evaluate and develop recommendations Camanche North Shore Maintenance Yard Fuel System 2000 Camanche Road, Ione, CA (Amador County) Located at the Camanche North Shore Recreation Area maintenance yard. This facility has two shelf 16.0 Design/upgrade dispensers mounted dispensers, one for diesel and one for 16.1 Evaluate tank condition, and design tank gasoline. The dispensers are served by a separated ground containment 1,000 gallon tank, 250 gallons for diesel and Design new concrete pad at fueling area gallons for gasoline. This site does not have a tank 16.3 Evaluate and develop recommendations monitoring system and is not connected to the Pardee Center Fuel System 3535 Sandretto Road, Valley Springs, CA (Calaveras County) Located at District s main office and maintenance yard for Pardee Reservoir operations. This site has two single cabinet dispensers, one for diesel and one for gasoline. There are two AST on site a 2,000 gallon tank for gasoline and 500 gallon tank for diesel. This site has an existing tank monitoring system and it is connected to the District s FuelMaster System Evaluate existing dispensers for replacement Evaluate addition of a high capacity pump for diesel Evaluate / Design dispenser site for lighting strike safety 17.3 Modify AST to allow for ground level 17.4 Upgrade/replace tank monitoring equipment Evaluate addition of DEF dispenser Evaluate existing facilities and design systems to meet Phase 2 EVR. 6 18.0. Pardee Recreation Area Fuel System 4900 Stony Creek Road, Ione, CA (Amador County) RETAIL: Located at the Pardee Recreation Area on the north side of the Pardee Reservoir. This site has three retail dispensers served by three separate ASTs. There is a 2,000 gallon tank for gasoline, a 1,000 gallon tank for a 50:1 mix, and a 2,000 gallon tank for diesel. The 50:1 mix tank is not in service. This site does have a tank monitoring system and is not This site is operated by the District s concessionaire Rocky Mountain Recreation Mokelumne River Fish Hatchery Fuel System North McIntire Road, Clements, CA (San Joaquin County) Located at the base of the Camanche Reservoir Dam. This facility has two shelf mounted dispensers, one for diesel and one for gasoline. The dispensers are served by a separated 2,000 gallon tank, 500 gallons for diesel and 1, 500 gallons for gasoline. This site does have a tank monitoring system and is not connected to the District s FuelMaster System. The site is used exclusively by the State of California s Department of Fish & Wildlife Design/upgrade dispensers for retail sales, evaluate a pay at the pump option Remove and dispose of 1,000 gallon mix tank and dispenser Evaluate and develop recommendations 18.3 Remove old hose reels and improve secondary containment Upgrade/replace tank monitoring equipment Design/upgrade dispensers 19.1 Switch tank usage (1,500 gal for diesel) Evaluate adding high capacity diesel pump Evaluate the need for secondary containment 19.4 Design concrete pad for filling area Add tank monitoring system Mokelumne Watershed Headquarters Fuel System Camanche Parkway South, Valley Springs, CA (Calaveras County) Located at District s Watershed Headquarter at the south east end of Camanche Reservoir. The fuel station at this site was removed two years ago for facility site improvements. A new dispenser location will need to be installed at this site. The site is used exclusively for EBMUD staff vehicle and maintenance equipment Design new fuel facilities (AST) for diesel and gasoline, with new tank monitoring system, tank containment and concrete pad for fueling area Add FuelMaster system for District vehicles use Include removal and disposal of existing tank in construction contact.
