2 The City of Pawtucket will be conducting a sealed bid auction for surplus/obsolete equipment. The following procedures will be adhered to without exception. All items sold as-is. The City of Pawtucket makes no warranties about the conditions or operability of items purchased. All markings, lettering and insignia that would signify the vehicles or equipment as City of Pawtucket property, must be removed by the buyer immediately after sale. Viewing Items There will be a public viewing of all items on the date and time shown below. No questions will be answered over the phone or by stopping by the locations at any time other than the time indicated for public showing. Bidding Anyone wishing to bid on any item must submit their bid in a plain sealed envelope using the attached Bidders Form. All envelopes must have Auction clearly written on it. All information on the form must be filled out and legible to be considered and all bid forms must be signed. Bids must be received in the Purchasing Department located at the following address: Payment City of Pawtucket Purchasing Department Pawtucket City Hall 137 Roosevelt Ave. Lower Level Pawtucket, RI Payment for items that are purchased must be made using either a money order or cashier s check. No cash or personal checks will be accepted. Full payment must be made for all items purchased by the date indicated below. If payment is not received by the deadline, then the item will be awarded to the next highest bidder. All payments will be received at the City of Pawtucket Purchasing Department. Pick-Up Goods No item will be delivered by the City of Pawtucket. Delivery of goods or vehicles is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. No towing or moving of vehicles will be performed by City of Pawtucket employees. Winning bidders will have until the date indicated below to pick-up items purchased, and winning bidders must make an appointment to pick-up items, at a time convenient for City of Pawtucket Public Works staff. Contact information will be furnished at the time of payment. All markings, lettering and insignia that would signify the vehicles or equipment as City of Pawtucket property, must be removed by the buyer immediately after sale. 2
