1 INVITATION FOR SEALED BIDS PACKET #25-18 SURPLUS VEHICLE AUCTION DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT Ingham County is seeking sealed bids for the sale of surplus vehicles. All vehicles are sold as is. No entry or driving of cars will be permitted. Some vehicles will require towing. DO NOT call the Purchasing Department for vehicle information or to gain access to the interior of the vehicle or to start the vehicle. All known information is provided within this packet. Please note that the information may or may not be accurate, it is the responsibility of the bidder to verify information. Pictures of all the Vehicles and Items are posted on-line at Packet # PROJECT AND LOCATION Vehicles may be viewed at Ingham County Annex, 430 N. Cedar Street, Mason, MI No appointment is necessary. Vehicles are sold as is. Do not stop-in or call the Purchasing or Road Department offices for pricing or vehicle information. o You may stop-in the Purchasing Office, 121 E. Maple St., 2 nd Floor, Room 203, Mason MI or jbuckmaster@ingham.org to obtain a bid packet. DUE DATE, PLACE/LOCATION Sealed bids are due no later than 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2018 in the Purchasing Department, 121 East Maple Street, Room 203, Mason, Michigan Any bids received after the time and date specified will be rejected. 11:01 a.m. is late. Any bids delivered to a location other than the Purchasing address above will be rejected. ed bids will be rejected. 2 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Bidders must complete the attached Price Sheet and Signature Form for submission of bid(s). All submissions must be signed, dated and contact information provided. Please print legibly. If your information cannot be accurately read then the next highest bidder will be notified of award. To submit a bid, place your Price Sheet & Signature Form in a sealed envelope, then write on the envelope PACKET #25-18 Surplus Auction ; then write your name in the upper left hand corner of the sealed envelope; then mail or bring to the Purchasing Department by the due date and place listed above (DUE DATE, PLACE/LOCATION) NOTIFICATION OF AWARD You will be required to submit payment for all items that you have the highest bid on; therefore, only bid on those vehicles and/or items you want and can afford. There are no minimum or maximum amounts required on vehicles. If you decide that you do not want a vehicle after you are contacted that you are the highest bidder, you will be banned from bidding on County auctions for a period of not less than five years. If you have been awarded a vehicle or multiple vehicles you will have until November 9, 2018 to schedule a time on or before November 15 to pay for the items awarded. If you do not schedule a time to pay for the vehicle the next highest vendor will be awarded the vehicle. 3 PICK UP/REMOVAL DATE Vehicles must be removed from Ingham County Property THREE (3) business days after receipt of payment-in-full. Please note some vehicles batteries are dead. Please note that some vehicles batteries work; however, require towing. The last day to provide payment is November 15, 2018 If a vehicle is not picked up by 8:00 a.m. on November 21, 2018 then the next highest bidder will be notified of award. PAYMENT SCHEDULE CERTIFIED CHECK ONLY made payable to: Ingham County Treasurer Cash, Credit Cards and Personal checks are not acceptable means of payment. Successful bidder shall present a certified check issued to Ingham County Treasurer for the total amount of the awarded vehicle(s) and before receiving any items, titles, keys (if available) and vehicles. Payments shall be delivered no later than your scheduled time and on or before 4:00 p.m. on November 15, 2018 to Ingham County Purchasing, 121 East Maple Street, Room 203, Mason Michigan Again, only after receipt of payment will the Ingham County Purchasing Department issue the keys (if available) and titles and/or release items to the awarded bidder. RIGHTS RESERVED BY OWNER Ingham County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to negotiate the terms and conditions of all or any part of the bid as determined to be in the best interest of the County in its sole discretion.
