3 Start Assembly Parts Motor and.1uf Cap Motor Cap and Wire Assembly 1) Attach a.1uf cap to each of the motor leads 2) Place the cap under the clear plastic motor mounting bracket 3) Solder the cap leads to the motor terminals 4 Motor and Wire Assembly 4) Twist the motor wires together 5) Notice that two motors have the read lead connected to the top of the motor and two have read leads connected to the bottom of the motor. 4 Removing Protective Film 6) Patiently remove the protective film from all of the chassis plastic pieces. Plastic Pieces This is what it should look like when you are finished. 5 Motor Mounted Side View Mount the front left Motor to the chassis. Left side is the driver s side 7) Insert the inner motor mounting bracket through the slot cut in the chassis. 8) Set the outer motor mounting bracket in the grove on the edge of the chassis. 9) Insert a 3MX30 Philips head screw through the outer bracket, the hole in the motor and the inner bracket. 10) Place a 3M hex nut on the end of the screw and tighten. 11) Place a second 3MX30 Philips head screw through the bottom hole of the bracket. 6 Motor Mounted Side View 12) Attach the remaining motors as shown, note that the front motors (left in the picture) have the black wires facing up and the rear motors (right in the picture) have the red wires facing up. Base Motors Standoffs Side 13) Install the 6, 40mm standoffs using 6, 3MX8mm Philips head screws in the mounting holes as illustrated. 7 Assembly Motors Top and Bottom Standoff Side 14) Install the top platform using 6, 3MX8mm Philips head screws in the mounting holes as illustrated Total Assembly Chasse Side 15) Attach the four wheels to the motor axels as illustrated.
