1 Force Pressure Temperature Switch Load Cell Accessories Force Introduction modules and mounting devices Description The mounting of load cells in an application requires high diligence if the force measuring system has to be accurate and precise. The performance of a force transducer depends on ist repeatability of deformation on full load and zero load. To get the maximum of accuracy the force introduction and mounting kits were designed. The aim of the construction of these was to prevent from the following effects: Lateral forces Excentrical load Bending and torsion momentum Vibration These influences vitiate the performance of the force transducer but can lead to damage of the sensor. The correct function of the force transducer presuppose accurate mounting. Uneven areas should never be tightened by mounting screws. If suitable the unevenness can be equalled by levelling parts. To avoid damage during the mounting procedure please use tranport safety devices. Especially take care with small nominal loads! Never carry the force transducer holding the cable only! During installation protect the cable from being damaged. Load cells are poduced with 4 or 6-wire cable. 4-wire cables are calibrated and temperature compensated for this special cable length. Never shorten or elongate cables. 6-wire cables allow to measure (sense) the exciatation voltage at the amplifier so it can be regulated. Welding works should be terminated before installing the load cells. If this is not possible all the cabelling should be removed from the clamping cases, amplifiers. To avoid the current to flow through the load cell, a special earth cable (copper) can be installed at the mounting kit. The arrangement of the load cells is depending on the model. Please look up the right load direction! Minimize transversal forces during and after mounting. Apply the right screw torsion momentum! Take care that the cabelling is not in the force flow! 8 6. Mounting kits Used for model F1210 Horizontal deflections of the compression plate result in a tangential deviation of the load cell. To mount this kit a maximum tangential deviation of 6 is allowed. 12 Accessories 1. Junction boxes A junction box offers the easy possibility to make long lasting electrical contact of the force transducer cabelling. All boxes are made out of solid aluminum (protection class IP 65) and metall screw terminals. No soldering is required. 14 Multiple ball bearings for force transducer Multiple ball bearings are used to compensate expansion caused by temperature or loading for structure of bulk containers, of electrical filters and reactors, pipe work and roof racks, flue gas and dedusting plants, water separators, force measurement and weighing equipment. Execution Multiple ball bearings can be used for ambient temperatures up to 180 C. A housing made of steel (St 37) covers balls and plates made of special steel. A movement up to ± 25 mm is possible. Standard versions move polydirectional. Options only for longitudinal or traverse movement are available. Earth Cable general use for mounting kits and load cells; To prevent a possible damage of the force transducerbecause of welding currents.to get the best results connect the upper and lower plate. The wires are 50 mm² and should be mounted before or immediately after installing the load cells These cables are made out of highly flexible E-Cu-flatwire, the ends are pressed on soldering free contact pins.
