1 VOLUME 31 - ISSUE 05 WE RIDE AND HAVE FUN AUGUST 2014 H.O.G. 93 RIDER S DIGEST PHOENIX, ARIZONA CHAPTER A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR N Cave Creek Rd Phoenix, AZ (602) Well, it s summertime in Phoenix but we are toughing it out. We have been doing some morning and evening rides to try to avoid the worst heat of the day. We ve also been doing some alternative activities to stay cool. We went bowling and even had a pool party. Don t let the heat stop you from riding. If you keep yourself hydrated, covered up and cool with a cooling vest you can ride all day in the heat. You can also get up early and head north into the mountains and come home late to avoid the highest temperatures. This is the best time of year to visit the north half of the state because pretty soon (not soon enough, I know) it will be too cold and we ll be riding south again. This is why I love Arizona so much. We live in one of the few states where we can ride all year. Get out and enjoy it!

15 SECRETARY- LONDI FORD I'm an AZ native, that grew up riding dirt bikes in the desert. I now ride a beautiful pearl blue Sporty Superlow, who knew Harley would make a bike just my size? Her name is Gracie & she loves to go fast. Believe it or not, I am married. Some members call him Frank Who? We have been married now for 33 years. We are proud grandparents to two really rocking grandkids & we have the most amazing kids, both whose strength inspires & awes me. The main reason I joined HOG 93 almost 7 years ago, was our charity & our support of the kids at the burn camp. I think of each member as my extended family & I m also proud to be part of the Buddy Stubbs AZ-HD family. What other business can we walk into & be greeted by name & hugs? This is your chapter & the officers strive to make it the best chapter in the interest of our members. We work for you, please never hesitate to offer us your suggestions, concerns, complaints & of course, compliments.
