1 Issue #72 November 2013 Message from Kelly & Susan Although another riding season is coming to an end, we remain optimistic that there will be a few more opportunities for all of us to jump on our motorcycles for some rides before the truly frigid and wintery weather arrives. November is the time of year when we begin to reflect on all the wonderful memories and fun times we shared during the year, and it is also a great time for visits with family. Looking back on this year, we are very thankful for the many wonderful memories the Harley-Davidson of Erie family experienced, highlighted by the success of our inaugural BikeFest event in July, another fantastic summer bike night season at Buffalo Wild Wings, and the Miller Beer/Harley-Davidson 110 th Anniversary Bike Giveaway that was won by Greg Fera in September. We kick-off this month on November 2 nd as we celebrate another wonderful year at Harley-Davidson of Erie with our annual Customer Appreciation Day event from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This event is our opportunity to say thank you to everyone for the continued support and friendship. The first 300 people into the dealership will receive a FREE gift and tickets for a chance to WIN some great door prizes! We will also have a FREE Thanksgiving lunch catered by The Cab (starts at 11 a.m.), FREE beverages, and fun music by D.J. Bill Page. Also, the U.S. Marine Corp. will kick-off their annual TOYS for TOTS campaign at our dealership during this event, and everyone who brings in any new, unwrapped toy ($10+ value) will receive 15% OFF the purchase of any Harley-Davidson officially licensed product! Speaking of giving thanks, our dealership was voted as favorite motorcycle dealership in the 2013 Erie s Choice Awards! This is the fifth consecutive year that our dealership has won this award and we are extremely proud and appreciative to once again be voted as Erie s favorite motorcycle dealer because the award is determined by YOU - our customers and the greater Erie community. On behalf of our staff, we truly appreciate your continued support of our business. Wow, it s hard to believe that the holiday shopping season has already started, but our annual Black Friday & Chrome Saturday Shopping Spectacular will make your holiday shopping easy, convenient, and stress free! The event will be on November 29 th and 30 th and once again we will offer FREE gift wrapping for all your H-D of Erie purchases, special incentives in both the MotorClothes and Parts & Accessories departments, and special holiday snacks to help spread the holiday cheer! Also, please remember that our WINTER BUSINESS HOURS begin this month and continue until March 1 st, which means we will be CLOSED ON MONDAYS with the exception of special holiday shopping hours in December. 2 Customer Appreciation Day November 2 We host this event to say THANK YOU to our customers for your continued friendship and support over the past year. There will be a FREE Thanksgiving lunch and beverages (begins at 11 a.m.) catered by The Cab, live music from DJ Bill Page, FREE door prizes, and a FREE GIFT for the first 300 people into the dealership that day. 4 Grand Prize Winner to Receive New Harley-Davidson November 2 This spring leading up to the release of the movie Iron Man 3, the Harley-Davidson Motor Company held a national contest entitled Iron Man 3: Man and Machine to connect the toughness, power and heroic appeal of the Marvel universe with Harley-Davidson and its sense of gritty Americana. There were over 6,000 nation-wide entries into the contest and five winners were chosen to have their likeness drawn into a Marvel comic as an extension of Road Force. The Motor Company flew the winners to ComicCon in San Diego this summer to see their characters revealed. As part of the contest, one of the lucky winners was chosen as the grand prize winner and would also receive a HD1 Harley-Davidson Street Bob motorcycle. Spread the Holiday Cheer with H-D MotorClothes The ladies in the MotorClothes Department are eager to help make holiday shopping easy and stress-free for everyone this year! Marc s entry included the character he developed called the Steel Horseman a hero who has deep Native American roots and uses a flame thrower. He wishes to save what little remains of his people s land, subjecting his enemies to the same fire as his ancestors, and rides a black Harley-Davidson Electra Glide that has been lowered and blacked out. Prior to receiving the call that he had won the grand prize, Marc received his motorcycle license and was beginning his search to purchase a bike of his own. Please join us on November 2 nd at 1 p.m. for a special celebration as Marc receives his new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Get Your Free Vintage H-D Storage Crate!
