1 Internal Memorandum To: Fr: Chief of Police Ronald Compton Lieutenant Kevin Avery Topic: October 2018 Public Report This is the report for the activity of the Crestwood Police Department for the month of October In October 2018, there were 16 Part I offenses and 353 Part II offenses, for a total of 369 offenses. This compares with 33 Part I offenses and 346 Part II offenses for a total of 379 in October Stolen vehicles: Two vehicles were reported stolen by residents. At this time only one vehicle has been recovered by the police department, the other has not. Stealing offenses numbered twelve in October Stealings were of the following classifications: Shopliftings accounted for five of the twelve stealing events in October The shopliftings occurred at businesses along Watson Road. Kohls 3 Saver's 1 Schnucks 1

2 Of the shopliftings, two were cleared by arrest and adults accounted for 100% of the clearances. The items shoplifted were found to be: There were four property damages in October 2018 and they were of the following classification: Part I offenses numbered 16 in October 2018.

3 Part II Offenses In October 2018, there was one assault where the parties did not know each other before the altercation. There were nine frauds involving identity theft and bad checks. There was one drug offense where an arrest was made. There were two sex offenses investigated by the police, an arrest was made in each incident. Two cases of offences against public peace were reported involving disorderly conduct and harassment. There were seven animal related calls and 75 people related calls. There were 35 suspicious activity calls investigated, and nineteen motor vehicle accidents reported. There was one weapons offense established after a traffic stop, officers found that a convicted felon was in possession of a handgun, an arrest was made. The police department handled 201 additional miscellaneous police calls for service in October Part II offenses totaled 353 in October 2018.

5 In Ward One, a theft was reported from an apartment complex involving a stolen iphone. Another theft involved a group of girls who did not pay for their food at a restaurant on Watson Road. There were two other shoplifting offenses that occurred at business along Watson Road. There was one property damage report from an apartment complex where a resident reported damage to the interior of his apartment. There were three fraud offenses report by business along Watson Road. Police made arrests for two sex offenses that occurred; one occurred at a business, and the other at an apartment complex along Watson Road. One offense against public peace was reported involving harassment allegations. There were seven traffic accidents and three animal related calls. People related calls numbered eighteen; suspicious activity calls numbered seven and occurred on six different streets. There were 57 miscellaneous police service calls. The police department responded to 103 calls for service in Ward One during October In Ward Two, there were five stealing offenses reported. The thefts occurred at businesses on Watson Road and Big Bend Blvd. One theft was on a parking lot of a restaurant on Watson Road where a vehicle was broken into and property was stolen from it. Another offense occurred where a shopper was at a business along Big Bend Blvd. loading their vehicle with purchases, persons drove by and stole a purse from their shopping cart. Two vehicle thefts were reported stolen, only one of the vehicles has been recovered at this time. An assault occurred at a gas station along Big Bend Blvd. after one patron struck another with his fist. There were six fraud cases investigated on Watson Road and Big Bend Blvd. for identity theft and fraudulent use of a credit device. There was one drug arrest made on Chatwood Terrace after officers investigated a noise complaint. We investigated a disorderly conduct offense that occurred at a restaurant on Big Bend Blvd. after a patron used racial slurs against an employee, charges were filed against the patron. There were nine traffic accidents, one animal related call, and seventeen people related calls. Suspicious activity calls numbered nineteen and occurred on ten different streets. There were 79 miscellaneous police service calls. The police department responded to 141 calls for service in Ward Two during October In Ward Three, there were three stealing offenses reported, one involved the theft of items from a residents apartment on Grant Road. Another theft occurred at a gas station on Watson Road when an employee stole cash and merchandise. The other was yard decorations from a residence on Pardee Road. A property damage report was made on Bull Run Drive involving damage to the homeowner s exterior window. There were three traffic accidents and 22 people related calls. Suspicious activity calls numbered five and occurred on four different streets. There were 38 miscellaneous police service calls. The police department responded to 73 calls for service in Ward Three during October In Ward Four, There were three animal related calls, and eighteen people related calls reported. Suspicious activity calls numbered four and occurred on four different streets. There were 27 miscellaneous police service calls. The police department responded to 52 calls for service in Ward Four during October 2018.

Major streets are the following streets that have been used to track accidents and enforcement for a length of time. They are: Sappington Pardee Lane Old Sappington Grant Road I-44 East Watson Big Bend Garber Road Pardee Road Liggett. Other streets are the remainder of the streets that are not included in one of the areas. This graph is a representation of the same information for three areas, Watson Road, and the remainder of the City:
