2 ober 218 Crime Report Purpose: The purpose of this report is to provide an analysis of crime and other police activities that occurred in the city of Camrose in the month of ober 218. The information is captured through Police records management systems and daily stats collection. Disclaimer: Statistics gathered for this report are based on the best available information at the time of drafting, and could be subject to change based on files being under investigation, or being reported at a later date. 4 218 Monthly Total of 8 Crime Indicators: January 7 May 75 September 6 February 66 June 81 ober 15 March 71 July 86 April 84 August 1 Overview: ober 218 recorded the highest total of Eight (8) Crime Indicators for all of 218. from motor vehicles and shoplifting were the majority of the theft occurrences. Of note, thefts had an increase of 34 reported occurrences (131%) from September 218 to ober 218, however in comparison to ober 217, the category only increased by nine (9) reported occurrences. from motor vehicles rose from five (5) reported occurrences in September 218 to 21 occurrences in ober 218. A review of the ober occurrences determined three (3) occurrences are as a result of a theft from the exterior of a vehicle, such as licence plates and tires. In only three (3) occurrences could Police confirm that the vehicle doors were locked. The remaining 15 reported occurrences are either believed or confirmed to have been unlocked or unknown. Shoplifting occurrences increased 14 reported occurrences from September 218 to ober 218. A portion of this increase can be attributed to one male being responsible for shoplifting from five (5) different businesses. Three (3) of the 14 reported occurrences of Other s Under $5, were bicycles, and six (6) of the incidents involved the theft of money where the suspect/accused was known to the victim. Cannabis legalization in Alberta occurred on ober 17, 218. As a result of this legalization, four (4) charges were laid under the Provincial Legislation. Two (2) violation tickets for Illegal Conveyance of Cannabis and two (2) violation tickets for Minor Possessing Cannabis were issued.

B1, which is the downtown core, saw three (3) thefts of money, one (1) theft of bicycle, six (6) thefts from vehicles and four (4) shoplifting occurrences. C2, which is the mall area, saw one (1) theft of money, one (1) theft from a residential yard, two (2) thefts from motor vehicles and six (6) shoplifting occurrences.

8 Crimes Against Property 5 Year Monthly Average The total number of Crimes against Property in ober 218 was 123, compared to 133 in ober of 217. Drug Occurrences 5 Year Monthly Average There were 14 drug offence occurrences in both ober 218 and ober 217.
