2 NYSERDA A public benefit corporation created in 1975 in response to the energy crisis Mission: To identify solutions to State s energy challenges in ways that benefit the State s economy and environment Forge public/private partnerships with businesses, municipalities, residents, and other energy stakeholders to accomplish this goal $400M annual budget FY08/09, 225+ employees, four NYS locations Responsibilities: Energy Efficiency Services - deployment R&D - product development Energy analysis RPS procurement
