6 6 PEX PharmaSequence commentary Combined sales of the pharmacy market in reached m PLN, 4% more than in. Reimbursement was 8 419m PLN, a growth of 4,5% compared to. The pharmacy market in saw sales reach more than 2 839m PLN. Value of sales compared to fell by close to 98,5m PLN (-3,4%). Compared to of sales grew by close to 86m PLN (+3,1%). Compared to the same period of, the non-prescription segment fell by 44,02m PLN (-3,4%). Sales based on non-reimbursed prescriptions fell by 39,01m (-6,3%) and on reimbursed prescription by 16,68m PLN (-1,6%). Compared to the previous month, segment value was varied. Value of products sold without a prescription grew by 105,47m PLN (+9,2%), value of reimbursed prescriptions was higher by 22,41m PLN (+2,3%) and of nonreimbursed drugs fell by 39,25 PLN (-6,4%). Average pharmacy mark-up for all drugs in was 24,68% and was smaller by 0,58pp than the margin in the same period of. Compared to of the average pharmacy margin fell by 0,6% (-0,14pp.). The average drug price in was 19,02 PLN and was 0,4% larger than in the previous month, and 8,2% higher than the average price in of. The increase in prices can result from a drop in demand, the pharmacy market is shrinking in compared to in value and volume, whereas product prices for pharmacies are growing. In this context the increase in prices can be seen as a natural process aimed at reducing losses in the mark-up. Drug reimbursement by the National Health Fund in was in the amount of over 702m PLN, 1,6% less than in the same period of. The level of patient copayment for reimbursed drugs in was 29,47%, smaller by 0,01 pp. compared to.
