We obtained various international approvals on this range, such as NEN, AFNOR, BENOR. Standard they come in grey RAL 7037 and white RAL The diameter range is from 32 mm to 160 mm. DYKA pipes and fittings are suitable for continual discharge of water up to 60º C and short term up to 95º C. They provide an efficient mean of drainage of waste water and foul discharge from appliances in single and multi-storey buildings. All, fittings are injection moulded and made of unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC), DYKA PVC solvent weld waste pipes and fittings are produced by DYKA. 21 APPLICATION INFORMATION DYKA PVC SOLVENT CEMENT PIPES AND FITTINGS WITH NARROW TOLERANCES. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Cut the pipe at right angles to its axis and chamfer it. Clean surfaces to be stuck toge ther with DYKA CLEANER. Apply solvent cement in a thin and even coat into the fitting and on the pipe-end, stroking the cement along and not round the surface Immediately push the joint together without twisting and hold for a moment in this position. Remove any surplus cement. Do not charge mechani cally. Do not use the solvent cement below temperatures of 0 C. PROPERTIES OF THE SOLVENT CEMENT JOINT The dried joint is resistant to a temperature of 60 C, and can temporarily resist temperatures up to 95 C. The solvent cement joint is waterproof. Particularly for acids, the chemi cal resistance of the solvent cement joint is dependent on the gap width, drying time, applied pressure, temperature of the medium, type of acid and its concentration. The solvent cement joint must be considered to have a limited resistance to concentraded acids. In general, it can be stated that the dry solvent cement joint has the same characteris tics as the PVC material itself.
