Injection Moulded Fittings Proplastics manufactures and distributes a comprehensive range of high quality PVC pressure fittings in the diameter range 20mm to 200mm. The upvc pressure fittings complement the existing range of pipe products available from Proplastics. Injection moulded fittings are primarily aimed at satisfying the needs of both the civil construction and irrigation sectors of the market. They also help enhance the inservice life of our PVC piping systems. 1

8 Technical Information Proplastics injection moulded solvent cement PVC pressure fittings make use of European moulds and technology to ensure that their quality reflects the high levels demanded by international clients. The quality management system of Proplastics complies with ISO 9001: 2008 in the manufacture of PVC pressure fittings. Continuous operating pressure of the 20mm to 160mm sie range is 16 bars at 20 degrees Celsius and the 200mm fittings are at 10 bars at 20 degrees Celsius. Proplastics pressure fittings comply with various international standards such as SANS 966, SAZ 327 and EN Only the highest quality PVC resin and ingredients are used, compounded inhouse to a state of the art formulation and developed in cooperation with international suppliers. Virgin compound is used. Working pressure The following chart shows the relationship between working pressure and temperature for PVC pressure fittings. Four classes are shown, PN 4, 6, 10, and 16. 9 Compression Fittings Proplastics supplies a comprehensive range of high quality compression fittings, valves and accessories in the diameter range 20mm to 110mm to complement the polyethylene pipes. Our compression fittings have the following application characteristics: Can be used on HDPE pipes that conform to SANS ISO 4427 standard Leak proof when correctly installed Can be used in pipelines with working pressure up to PN16 Easy to install Have no toxic additives UV stabilied Used for long term application Resistant to pull out once installed Threaded ends can adapt to PVC or Steel pipe connections 7
