C) Either connect to the compression fittings or electrofuse or butt weld the PE spigots (20) at the pipe ends. D) Position the valve body (5) between the two couplings. E) Lock the ring nuts for both sides. Instructions for disassembling and reassemble - Completely unscrew the ring nuts (12). Remove the valve body (5) radially. Remove the handle (1) by pulling upwards. Insert the key in its seat in the gasket support (8). Completely unscrew the gasket support (8) by rotating the handle anticlockwise. Remove O-Rings (6*, 9*, 11*) from gasket support (8) and PTFE gasket (7*) using a suitable tool in order to prevent damage. Remove the ball (4) which was previously positioned during the closing phase. Remove the stem (3) by pushing downwards and extracting it from inside the valve body. Remove the O-Ring (2*) from the stem (3) using a suitable tool. Remove the O-Ring (9*) and the PTFE gasket (7*) using a suitable tool. To assemble the valve, follow the same procedure in the opposite sequence. Notes: The valve shall be supplied with a pre-set radial seal, applicable to average operating conditions; due to particular operating conditions, it might be necessary to follow the instructions below before performing the final step: 1. Disconnected the handle (1) by pulling upwards. 2. Insert the key in its seat in the gasket support (8). 3. Turn clockwise or anticlockwise to adjust as required. 61
