Useable for non-hardened constructional steels and surface-hardened steels, also when subject to slight edge pressure. Good emergency running properties, resistant to salt water. Machinability: Weldability: Solderability: very good bad soft, restricted hard solderability Application examples: Small and very small bearing bushings, thrust bearings, lead screws, valve cones, gibs and slide bars in machine tools subject to medium and high stresses, friction disks. Load values: Small pinions and worm wheels under low and medium load, also in the case of high sliding speed such as V = 8 m/s but duty cycle less than 5 %. Compared with leaded tin bronzes it has less machinability. In view of the high hardness and resistance to wear surface hardened shafts of maximum surface quality are recoended. Machinability: Weldability: Solderability: good good soft and hard solderability Application examples: Small, highly-stressed slide bearings, e.g. small end bearing bushings, tilting and toggle lever bearings, small worm wheels and helical gear wheels subject to low and high stresses but also for high sliding speed (V = 8 m/s) and high duty cycle (up to 100%), lead screws (including one-piece design), slide and wearing bars subject to high stresses, pistons and pump units for oil hydraulics.
