3 3 Electric and gas meter installation Each unit gets one electric and one gas meter. Work scheduled to start in May/June Power outage should be 10 minutes or less. Unplug any sensitive electronics Save all work on computers Gas outage should be around 30 minutes Plan for no hot water Contractor will access your home to re-light appliances

4 4 Electric and gas meter installation Each unit will be notified of their designated day no later than 48 hours in advance. Approximately 70 units per day Each unit will be given a 4 hour window for installers to arrive If resident is not home, a Balfour Beatty employee will accompany the contractor into the unit. All pets must be on a leash in the back yard or locked in a non-mechanical room of your home.

5 5 Utility Billing Your BAH stays the same. BAH includes an allowance for utilities. Each month, a baseline will be calculated by floor plan by neighborhood. Example: all two bedrooms in Atlas will have the same baseline. During mock billing (1 year), you will be able to see how you compare to the baseline. You will not be responsible for any charges above the baseline and you will not earn any credits. Once live billing starts, your bill will show if you are over or under the baseline. If you accrue overages of $50 or more, you will get an invoice for that amount. If you accrue credits of more than $50, you will get a check.

7 7 Utility Billing- The baseline will account for inefficient homes- your and have the same appliances. BBC will evaluate the bills to identify inconsistencies. The mock billing period will help BBC identify units that are way above the baseline and those residents will be contacted so BBC can help locate problems (like a leaky door seal) or offer tips to reduce usage. Residents will not get a bill for water and sewer. BBC will continue to pay water and sewer directly.

BBC will notify residents and hold additional informational meetings well in advance of mock billing starting. Mock billing must last one year and will transition straight into live billing.

11 11 Peacekeeper/Jupiter patio covers Free-standing patio covers will be installed this summer. Step one: Community Management office notifies you of start date. Step two: Resident clears all personal items, satellite dishes, and pets from patio- please keep your back yard mowed. Step three: Renovations team preps existing patio and pours concrete. Step four: Renovations team returns to build patio cover.

12 12 Peacekeeper/Jupiter patio covers You may use your existing patio in the evenings, but please make sure all items are cleared off each day. Please keep pets inside during construction Please stay off any wet concrete. You will be responsible for the patio cover once it is installed.

19 What is Terracycle? Terracycle is a recycling program that accepts certain waste which they turn into a range of products. Terracycle pays for the shipping to send the waste. The waste is then counted and those who are participating receive $ for their charity of choice. Our charity is Loy School. We are able to request the funds twice a year, May and December.
