2 City of Howell - February 2019 Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat /Recycle President's Day /Recycle Notes: NEIGHBORHOOD TREE PLANTING PROGRAM: The City of Howell has a spring tree planting program in which the City will pay 50% of the cost to purchase the tree and the homeowner pays the remaining 50%. The tree is planted between the sidewalk and the curb at no additional charge. 4 City of Howell - April 2019 Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat North Side Brush Pick-up /Recycle Good Friday Easter Arbor Day /Recycle 30 Notes: YARD WASTE PROGRAM: Begins in April. Advanced Disposal will pick up yard waste (grass clippings and leaves) in paper yard waste bags or reusable containers no larger than 32 gallons. Reusable containers must be marked with a Yard Waste Only sticker available for pick up at the Department of Public Works, 150 Marion Street. Yard waste will be picked up with your regular trash collection through November (weather permitting). Collection dates are noted on the calendar.

Flushing begins in May and takes approximately three (3) weeks to flush the 400 hydrants within the City limits.
