2 Dumpsters will no longer be prescheduled on a specific date. If your application is approved, the dumpster will be delivered on a Monday or a Friday within 8 weeks of receipt of your application. FOR MONDAY DELIVERIES ONLY: Applicants needing the dumpster picked up earlier MUST CALL Code Enforcement for pick-up. PLEASE NOTE: VALLEJO GARBAGE WILL NOT PICK UP THE DUMPSTER ON THE SAME DAY OF DELIVERY, ON A WEEKEND, OR THE SAME DAY THAT YOU CALL TO HAVE IT PICKED UP. THEREFORE, DUMPSTERS DELIVERED ON A FRIDAY CAN ONLY BE PICKED UP THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY. I have read the Free Dumpster Guidelines and agree to the terms in order for me to get a free dumpster. I agree that everyone on the application will be able to use the dumpster and I understand that if I do not follow the Free Dumpster Guidelines I will be restricted from receiving a free dumpster in the future. 3 FREE DUMPSTER GUIDELINES These dumpsters may only be used for exterior clean up and may not be used by commercial businesses. They are for the neighborhoods that adhere to the program guidelines and requirements. As there are a limited number of dumpsters available, they will be issued on a priority basis. Dumpsters will be issued for the purpose of cleaning the outside of the properties. They are not to be used to clean out garages or for cleaning out the interior of the home. Only one dumpster per block will be allowed per Vallejo Garbage fiscal year which commences October 1 of each year. 1. Five people per block must sign the petition. The five people must live on the same street and block, but reside at different addresses. Dumpsters will only be provided to people within the city limits of Vallejo. The applicant in charge of the dumpster must be a property owner and must be willing to monitor the items that go into the dumpster. If the dumpster is allowed to overflow, or prohibited items are allowed into the dumpster, the designated responsible party will be billed for the extra items. 2. After the signatures from the participating neighbors have been obtained, the applicant in charge must return the completed application to the Code Enforcement Division. 3. One of the petitioners must agree to place the dumpster in front of their property. The dumpster must be monitored and the area around the dumpster kept clean. The applicant must make sure that things that aren't allowed in the dumpster are not put in. The area where the dumpster is to be placed must first be approved by the City of Vallejo, or the Garbage Company will not place the dumpster in the neighborhood. Vallejo Garbage Company will deliver the dumpster any time between 5 am and 1 pm. The individual responsible for monitoring dumpsters delivered on a Monday must call Citv of Vallejo Code Enforcement at (707) ifthe dumpster is full before Friday to schedule an earlier pick-up. Dumpsters delivered on a Friday can only be picked up the following Tuesday. 4. The trash dumpster must not be overfilled. Vallejo Garbage Service will not pick up trash that has spilled over the top of the dumpster. The Vallejo Garbage Service should be notified as soon as the dumpster is almost full. The responsible party requesting the dumpster is also responsible for cleaning the area after the dumpster is removed. 5. The applicants will be responsible for the removal of all excess trash. 4 6. ALL PARTICIPATING HOUSEHOLDS MUST HAVE CURRENT GARBAGE SERVICE. 7. Upon receipt of the application, the Code Enforcement Division will review the application. Upon approval or denial of your application, all participants will be notified by mail. PLEASE NOTE: No concrete or hazardous material is to be placed in the dumpster. This includes all paint cans, etc.
