INTRODUCTION This classification report defines the fire resistance classification that has been assigned to a self-supporting Decaroc 50F 120 mm ceiling tested in accordance with the procedures described in EN :2007+A1:2009 with exposure to fire from below. 2. DETAILS OF THE CLASSIFIED SYSTEM 2.1 General The system, self-supporting Decaroc 50F 120 mm ceiling, is defined as a non-loadbearing ceiling. 2.2 Product description The system self-supporting Decaroc 50F 120 mm ceiling is described fully in the test report that serves as the basis for the classification stated in paragraph 3.1. It is a ceiling construction made up of three panels of DECAROC 50F 120 mm, two panels of full width (1170 mm) and one fitting panel (width 600 mm). The panels had a length of approx mm. The longitudinal connection between two panels was with a tongue-groove system. Three sides of the test element were fixed to the concrete frame. One longitudinal side of the element was not fixed to the concrete frame; this is called the free edge. The dimensions of the tested ceiling construction were approx. 4.0 m x 3.0 m (l x w). Structure of DECAROC 50F 120 mm sandwich panel, from top to bottom: -Steel sheet: flat material 0.63 mm, density 7850 kg/m³ -Rock wool type 50F: thickness 119 mm, nominal density 120 kg/m², core material Spanrock XL from Rockwool. -Steel sheet: flat material 0.5 mm, density 7850 kg/m³ See also the figures in the appendix.
