After installation the piston accumulator can be filled with a wide range of mineral oils, depending on the application. Other types of hydraulic fluids are optional. Certification Bosch Rexroth piston accumulators can comply with most applied safety regulations and guidelines as we have extensive experience with different certifying authorities. Standard the piston accumulators are CE certified.

Modular selectable indication and monitoring devices The measuring device for indication of the position and movement of the piston are mounted on the outside of the accumulator. This optional device is clearly readable and easily accessible. Mounting kit PED Table and categories All accumulators mentioned in this technical information document are category IV according to the PED table. The X-axis shows the accumulator volume in liters. The Y-axis shows the design pressure in bar. The demarcation lines in the conformity assessment table indicate the upper limit for each Category I to IV. The product of the design pressure and the accumulator volume is calculated and compared to the demarcation lines. The category above one of the lines is the applied category. If the product of pressure and volume is lower than 50 (i.e. the first demarcation line) the PED is not applicable.

Standard mounting devices are available for accumulators with bores 360 and 500 mm.
