Is used oil pick up an actual requirement? Answer: In accordance with specification section 5.10., used oil pick-up is an actual contract requirement. Question. 2. Under estimated usages, are those yearly quantities? Answer:, the quantities are five (5) year estimates. Question. 3. item 14 Turbine oil has 26,125 drums as the estimated usage, Is that correct? Answer:, unit of measure revised to 1,000. See revision no.1. Question. 4. Is used oil pick up a requirement for this bid? If yes, which locations require used oil pick up and what are their used oil tank sizes. Answer: Yes. DWM Water Treatment Facilities, Pumping Stations and other locations determined by the City of Chicago; 55-gallon used tank. Question. 5. The commodity descriptions for some of the products in the bid are pretty vague with limited specifications. Is there a way to access the specs and testing requirements for line items 2, 17 and 19? Also, for name brand products like Mobil, Conoco and Chevron are alternative brand lubricants allowed to be bid providing they meet the specifications of those products? Answer: item 2, various grades need to be available; item 17, 2-cycle oil used is multi-grade and synthetic; item 19, conventional oil for use with heavy duty diesels, autos and SUV. Yes, alternative brand lubricants are allowed as long as they are identified as alternates. Question. 6. For this bid only a MBE, WBE or Joint Venture are allowed to submit a bid? Please clarify. Answer: Yes, this is a Target Market solicitation, as stated on the contract cover page Bidding Restricted to City of Chicago Certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) With Appropriate Specialty Area Designation. Question. 7. The contract for Various Oils, Greases and Lubricants can you please check with end user department regarding the quantities? Answer: The estimated quantities are based on a five (5) year period for DWM. Question. 8. I believe the end user department for the unit of measure meant to put gallons instead of Drums for the majority of the items. This would also be consistent with the previous contract. Answer: The unit of measure has been updated on the proposal pages for the following Item numbers: 1-3, 5-8, 14-16, 23-27, 30, 32-33, 36-37, 39, 44-48, 51, See revision no.1.
