3 HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL In every product instruction manual, there will be maintenance sections that will reference you to this lubrication manual. Please select the appropriate subsection for lubrication instructions. BEARINGS AND BEARING SEAL HOUSINGS BEAM TOP BEARING A flanged bearing used at top of beam on all electric or PTO pumps, agitators and agitator pumps. Grease top bearing 4 shots every 300 hrs based on run time, (more often for agitators in extreme conditions) with Lubriplate Mag-1 BEAM MID BEARING & CROSS BEARING KIT Flanged bearings and cross bearing kits (on all u-joint assemblies), are located inside the beam sections at each inspection port. On all electric or PTO pumps, agitators and agitator pumps. at time of service or every 3500 hrs based on run time, mid bearing takes 8 shots and cross bearing 3 shots with Lubriplate Mag-1 CONVEYOR BEARINGS Grease top shaft bearings at the discharge end of conveyor, with 5 shots every 360 hrs based on run time, with Lubriplate Mag-1 Grease ROLLER PRESS BEARING Grease roller bearings on roller press at the discharge end of conveyor with 5 shots every 360 hrs based on run time, with Lubriplate Mag-1 AUGER DISCHARGE AND MOTOR SIDE BEARINGS At each end of the auger, you will need to grease the bearings with 5 shots once every 600 hrs based on a run time. Depending on which model you have the location of the zerk will vary. Use Lubriplate Mag-1 AUTOWASHER TOP BEARINGS Grease bearings on each side of shaft with 3 shots every 730 hrs based on run time, with Lubriplate Mag-1 AUGER SEAL HOUSING Located between gearbox and auger, 30 shots every 300 hrs based on run time, with Lubriplate Mag-1 Grease to flush seals. BEARING SEAL HOUSING All electric pumps grease with 45 shots every 300 hrs based on run time, from grease gun to left zerk at the top of the pump support housing. Grease flushes seals and greases the roller bearing inside seal housing. Use Lubriplate Mag-1 1

4 PROP ASSEMBLY BEARING All electric or PTO, agitators and agitator pumps grease with 5 shots every 300 hrs based on run time from grease gun to right zerk to grease the 4-hole flange bearing in the prop assembly. Use Lubriplate Mag-1 PTO BEARING SEAL HOUSING Pumps, agitators and agitator pumps, grease 45 shots every 24 hrs based on run time, with grease gun. Grease flushes seals and greases the roller bearing inside seal housing. Use Lubriplate Mag-1 PTO CROSS BEARING KIT & DRIVE LINE Pumps, agitators and agitator pumps. The cross bearing kit is the u-joint assembly on the drive line. Grease 8-10 shots every 24 hrs based on run time, use Lubriplate Mag-1 PTO TRAILER WHEEL BEARINGS For all PTO trailer pumps, agitators and agitator pumps. Grease the wheel bearings with 8-10 shots before or after storing unit from seasonal usage. Use Lubriplate Mag-1 GEARBOXES INSIDE GEARBOX All electric or PTO pumps, agitators and agitator pumps. Replace oil every 3500 hrs based on run time. Use Mobile Synthetic 75-90W oil. ZERK FITTINGS ON GEARBOX All electric or PTO pumps, agitators and agitator pumps, 45 shots every 300 hrs based on run time. Use Lubriplate Mag-1 CHAINS AUGER DRIVE CHAIN Use Perma-lube 1047 once a month, spray coat the entire chain. CONVEYOR TOP DRIVE CHAIN Use Perma-lube 1047 once a month, spray coat the entire chain. ROLLER PRESS CHAIN Lube drive chain with Perma-lube 1047 once a month, spray coat the entire chain. AUTOWASHER CHAIN Use Perma-lube 1047 once a month, spray coat the entire chain. 2

5 GENERAL NOTES DO NOT use paraffin-based water proof grease. Only use recommended lubricants located in this manual. Do not over grease, all grease shot quantities are general recommendations and vary with operating conditions. Failure to do so may result in loss of warranty. 3

6 MAINTENANCE ON SUMITOMO GREASE PACKED GEAR MOTORS Initial lubrication should be at 500 hours of primary operation. Operation Condition Up to 6 hours From 6 to 12 hours From 12 to 24 hours Lubrication Interval Every 1000 hours Every 750 hours Every 500 hours Frame size 6120/ / / /65 Grease Qty - oz (g) 5 (142) 8(226) 8(226) 14 (376) LUBRICATION GUIDELINES APPROVED GREASE Use only Mobile Polyrex EM or Unirex N2 grease. Do not substitute. WARNING DEATH OR INJURY CAN OCCUR. Make sure power supply is properly disconnected per lockout/tagout procedures. Remove motor cover, and then remove the drain plug item (1). Using a hand grease gun, lubricate the zerk item (2) with half of the quantity of specified grease listed in tables above. Continue greasing until grease purges from the drain plug. Reinstall drain plug and motor cover. Run Gearmotor for 5 minutes, and repeat process for remainder of specified grease quantity. Drive chain coupler should be lubricated at this stage with Perma Lube: Foaming Lubricant Protectant. REBUILD (OVERHAUL) Please take gearmotor to an authorized service facility. 7 MAINTENANCE ON SUMITOMO OIL FILLED GEAR MOTORS Initial lubrication should be at 500 hours of primary operation. Operation Condition Up to 10 hours per day From 10 to 24 hours per day High ambient temperature, High humidity or atmosphere of active gas Lubrication Interval Every 6 Months Every 2500 Hours Every 3 months Frame Size 6130/ / / /85 Oil Qty - Gal (Liter).18 (.7).18 (.7).37 (1.4).66 (2.5) LUBRICATION GUIDELINES APPROVED OIL Use only Mobil SHC 634. Do not substitute. WARNING DEATH OR INJURY CAN OCCUR. Make sure power supply is properly disconnected per lockout/tagout procedures. Remove motor cover, and then remove the drain plug item (1). Allow oil to fully drain and replace drain plug. Remove oil fill plug item (2) and fill with recommended oil to fill level shown on fill tube item (3). Reinstall fill plug and motor cover. Run Gearmotor for 5 min and verify oil level did not change. If unit is equipped with drive chain coupler, it should be lubricated at this stage with Perma Lube: Foaming Lubricant Protectant.
