2 From the President Don Blackstock TURKEY TIME Well the show season is winding down, Pumpkin Run is almost here. Hope our club has a good turnout, $500 to the club with the most cars. Rumor has it GASCARS Club is bragging they will take it from us. Will they CSRA Mustang Club? Matt Hunter will be heading up our group and sending our a reminder this week. Mike Anchor, Steve Prewitt, Lynda & myself will be in Dallas this weekend attending the MCA meeting & Regional Directors Summit. Steve will be making the announcement that Lynda was elected as MCA treasurer. Very proud of my wife! Our Christmas Dinner will be December 4th., at the moment we don`t have many signed up. If we don`t see an increase at our November meeting we might need to cancel the dinner and just have our regular meeting. Christmas parades coming soon, contact James Aldridge to ride in the Martinez-Evans parade, Richard Ray will be heading up the North Augusta parade. Drop them a note if you would like to decorate your pony up. We had a great time this past Saturday riding to Dillard, beautiful weather.also had a few visitors make the trip after seeing our facebook page and all the fun we have cruising. Hope our next trip we can have more members make the ride. We can never set a date that will work out for everyone. We all have outings that we want to attend and sometimes Mustangs are not part of it. I am stepping up on my soapbox now, Donnie Thompson opens up his garage several times a year to the area clubs to view his collection. When we have a club function that coincides with his viewing party, please consider coming to our event we have made an effort to put together. We know some members don`t make trips we set up that travel outside of our area, thats fine. When someone from his group contacts a club member to set up a viewing, please contact Matt and ask him check our calendar for conflicting events. Maybe they will work out a different date to work so everyone can enjoy his collection. Thanks again to Aaron & Zafera for opening up their home and hosting our Halloween Party, Food was GREAT, thanks to everyone that helped out. Zafera put a lot of work into hosting our club, please make an effort to attend club functions. Also a big thanks to Tammy Dreiling for baking cookies and other fancy deserts for our meetings. 3 From the Editor Zafera Aaron I can t believe that it s November already! This means that I ve almost been Secretary/Editor for a year now! I hope I have made you all proud it was hard to fill a job that Mike Anchor did so well for so long. I know the holidays and times are busy. I work a full-time job since the club hasn t taken me on as a full-time employee yet (ha-ha), but we all need to work together as a club and try to contribute here and there. As the Editor, I need YOUR help with the newsletter. I love looking through different articles but I definitely need some help at Pets and Stangs and other items. Thanks to Zane Anchor for helping in the There Outta Be A Law area, he sends me pictures all the time, I m very thankful for the help! Thanks to all who came to my Halloween Party. We played Pictionary and the guys THOUGHT they were going to beat us girls, but we can back and won by a landslide! It was amazing! And wow, the costumes were great! My kitty was very scared of Don s costume and I have to say, so was I! Anyway, I won't be at the meeting in November, sadly! But, I will be at SEMA in Las Vegas!! Haven t heard about SEMA? Go take a look on the internet at semashow.com. This show is not open to the general public but do you know how we got tickets? By being members of the Mustang Club of America! If you aren t a member of the MCA, you should really consider it. Lots of discounts and perks! Have a good time at the Pumpkin Run, hope the weather cooperates! And Happy Thanksgiving! 4 Ford News & Notes 2015 Roush Mustang Lineup Officially Revealed ROUSH Performance adds some attitude to a freshly redesigned Ford Mustang. Built on the Blue Oval's 6th generation Detroit icon, ROUSH performance is excited to debut its aggressive new 2015 lineup. "We have taken a different approach to our new Stage lineup." states Jay Velthoven, Director of Marketing at ROUSH Performance. "The 2015 RS will be built on the Mustang's V6 platform, the Stage 1 will feature the new turbo-charged Ford 2.3L Eco-Boost motor, and the Stage 2 will showcase a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8." All of the 2015 ROUSH Mustangs receive the "R7" (7th generation) aero-body package giving this pony some major attitude. The face of the "R7ʺ aero-body package features a fully remodeled ROUSH fascia with integrated aero-pockets, a five-blade upper grille, high-flow lower grille with driving lamps, and a front chin splitter. "We worked closely with our race teams aero specialists as we modeled our new body components." says Mark Trostle, Lead Designer for ROUSH. "It's instantly noticed on the rear with the raceinspired lower aero-valance and a new one piece decklid spoiler. We also tied the whole aero package together with a set of side rocker canards." Along with the aggressive new look, the Stage 1 and Stage 2 get the new ROUSH quad-tip performance exhaust system. "The new quad-tip exhaust is a modular design that is set to accept future upgrades." Says Erin Dmytrow, Engineering Director for ROUSH Performance. "We are working on some exciting features that will be available later this year." The ROUSH Mustangs also gets a handling boost thanks to the optional suspension setups and new Quicksilver 20-inch ROUSH wheels wrapped in the ROUSH/Cooper (co-developed) RS3-S ultra high-performance tire. Inside the cabin, every ROUSH Mustangs will receive ROUSH embroidered floor mats and a serialized ROUSH dash badge. Optional ROUSH gauge cluster and leather seating upgrades are available for both the standard seat and the upgraded RECARO seats. Additionally, the ROUSH Stage Mustangs have several exterior and interior options available including side quarter window scoops, body side scoop, hood scoop and more. All 2015 ROUSH "Stage" Mustangs will first be available in manual coupes with convertible chassis and automatic transmissions to follow at a later date. They are also all 50-state legal and covered by ROUSH's 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. 6 Savannah MCA National Show A great time was had by all at the Savannah MCA National Show. It was a little too hot I think, especially for it being mid-october! But at least there was no rain. Had a good time hanging out with the club and from what I heard, everyone from our club won an award. We were excited, we received a Gold for our Boss 302, our first win ever at a National Show. 10 YUK, YUK!!!! Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson were going camping. They pitched their tent under the stars and went to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night Holmes woke Watson up and said: Watson, look up at the stars, and tell me what you see. Watson replied: I see millions and millions of stars. Holmes said: And what do you deduce from that? Watson replied: Well, if there are millions of stars, and if even a few of those have planets, it s quite likely there are some planets like earth out there. And if there are a few planets like earth out there, there might also be life. An old man was wondering if his wife had a hearing problem. So one night, he stood behind her while she was sitting in her chair. He spoke softly to her, "Honey, can you hear me?" There was no response. He moved a little closer and said again, "Honey, can you hear me?" Still, there was no response. Finally, he moved right behind her and said, "Honey, can you hear me? She replied, "For the third time, yes! A college pizza delivery boy arrived at the house of Larry Johnson. He delivered the pizza to his trailer. After giving it to him, Larry asked: "What is the usual tip?" "Well," replied the youth, "this is my first trip here, but the other guys say if I get a quarter out of you, I'll be doing great." "Is that so?" snorted Larry. "Well, just to show them how wrong they are, here's five dollars." "Thanks," replied the youth, "I'll put this in my school fund."
