2 President s Notes What a great car show! Thank you to everyone who came out and especially to the helpers. It looks like our decision to move the show from August to June paid off. Once again, the Wayland folks were wonderful and really helped us put on a good show. Thanks also to our new judges who did a great job and came through on time. Hope you can make the July meeting on the 7 th, as we need to discuss several events for the future. We still need to set a time for our Birthday party and also look at the possibility of a display or two. Some folks have also talked about a cruise to Floydada to check out the Don Hardy collection and his Bonneville car. We are open to other suggestions, too. I m sure Mike will mention the Caprock Classic Car Club show coming up in July. It would be great if we could get a lot of cars there to help out the folks who came out for us in such a big way. Also, please keep Larry Rasco in your thoughts as he recovers from a total knee replacement. We know he came through the operation well and maybe we will see him at the meeting. Our club is continuing to grow, with more new members and sponsors, and it s all because of you members who are involved. Thanks again to everybody. A Major Sponsor of The Lubbock Mustang Club
3 Mike's Thoughts Wow, what a great show! Even with the weather being a bit iffy, we still had over 150 cars! At least 55 of those were Mustangs, so thank you to all who brought out a car. A lot of the local clubs supported us, including the Camaro and Mopar clubs and most especially the
4 Caprock Classic Car Club who really put us over the top. I m hoping as many of you as possible will come out to their show on the 16 th in Slaton and support the folks who support us. Besides all that, it s a really fun show. See the poster above. Speaking of folks who support us, here are the logos of our major sponsors without whom we could not put on such a show and be able to give away money to our deserving charities. Please patronize these businesses and tell them who you are when you are there. Also, thanks to all the volunteer workers we had! Your officers put in a lot of time and effort putting things together for an event like this, but it s the members who come out and work the show who really make it happen. We had a great registration crew and lots of help parking all those cars, so thanks to all! Here s a few pics of helpers at the show. I m always a little hesitant to do this for fear I will miss someone, but here goes..
