It means that you can begin your search of wrecking yards and swap meets for those long missing parts for your Olds. With cost of steel going up, yards like one shown above near Phoenix, Arizona are fast becoming extinct. Fortunately, re are still a few salvage yard owners that are keeping se discarded vehicles available for us to scavange for parts. The Cars and Parts magazine every month features a salvage yard somewhere in U.S. that still holds treasures for restoration enthusiast that needs that one last part to complete project. If you happen on a salvage yard that may still contain Oldsmobiles with good parts for your fellow Olds owners, please let your editors know. We will include details in a future newsletter. It would be even better if you took several photos to show what might be available. Good hunting! What a great April this is turning into. I hope you have all had a chance to get your Oldsmobiles out and running strong. Be sure to remember that our next club meeting will be held in Spanaway, WA at LeMay Museum. Our meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. with private tour beginning at 2:00 p.m. Our tour will be directed by Tom Bridges, an Olds owner, just like us. Tom is a docent at museum and is pleased to be heading up our event. I d like to thank Don & June Wahlstrom, for ir part in suggesting LeMay Museum for our May meeting. This year Norrn Lights Olds Club will be hosting Rallye with PSOC and B.C. Olds Clubs being invited to participate. Radium Hot Springs is about 500 miles from Seattle/Tacoma area. PUGET SOUND CHAPTER OLDSMOBILE CLUB OF AMERICA April 6, 2008 M I N U T E S Guest, Aaron Nance, contributor to Journey With Olds and a South Central Zone Director, was welcomed. Minutes of March meeting were approved. Treasurer's Report Kathi Straw Report approved. LeMay Museum Saturday May 3 Meeting There was discussion regarding making a donation of $500 to museum. It was agreed we would make donation. Directions to museum's Marymount location will be published in newsletter. We will meet at 12:30 and our guided tour will begin at 2 p.m. Zone Show Pete Salazar The flyer will be prepared by Friday, April 11. It was suggested club treasury pay entrance fees for club members. A planning meeting will be held Saturday, May 17, 12:30 at Salazar's. T-Shirts Nina Rogers Nina displayed samples of t-shirts.
