Note: Lamps fitted by bodybuilders must be certified in order for the vehicle to achieve type approval. 5 Fitting Fitting Tail lamps can be fitted as follows: On standard bracket. In underrun protection. If positioning the tail lamps in the underrun protection, they must be fitted in a fixed underrun protection with U-profile. When the lamps are ordered with an extra long cable harness (600 and 1,200 mm extension) they can be positioned on the box bodywork without the need for the cable harness to be spliced. The standard length cable harness is tailored so that the tail lamps can be positioned in the standard brackets of lateral clearance towards the centre is required for the electrical connection. This does not apply to lamps with connection on the rear. Tail lamps must fulfil several legal requirements related to factors such as visibility and viewing angles. 7 Tail lamps Fitting Tail lamp fitted in the underrun protection The tail lamp can be located in the underrun protection with a U-profile. The underrun protection 1 protects the tail lamps during dumping or the like. Variant codes Option On standard bracket In underrun protection (U-profile) Variant code 1532A 1532B 1. 8 Other equipment Other equipment Length of the cable harness Select the extended cable harness for the tail lamps if their location is changed when the bodywork is finished. The options for an extended cable harness are 600 and 1,200 mm, respectively. 9 Other equipment Tail lamp protection It is possible to fit the tail lamp on a standard bracket without a panel with tail lamp protection. The protection comprises a plate which is angled over the tail lamp. The protection is available in 2 designs.
