2 Mount the Hydraulic Valve block to the Left Front Leg. Mark two holes using the hydraulic block as a guide. When marking the holes the bottom of the block should be 5 above the cross brace tube. The block should be orientated with the 1/2 hose connector at the bottom. Drill two holes with a 5/16 drill bit. Install the hydraulic block using (2) 1/4 x 3 hex bolts and (2) 1/4 Centerlock Hex Nuts. Tighten hardware once installed. 2

3 Remove the 1/2 and 1/4 hydraulic hoses from the tank. Connect the hoses removed in the last step to the hydraulic block. Connect the supplied hoses to the inside of the block and to the grain cart wall. Tighten hose connections once finished. 1/2 Hose must be on the bottom. 3

4 Install the electrical harness. Tighten all connections once finished. 5 Auto Gate Shut-Off GT460 The automatic grain gate is a new feature. The following is an explanation of how the unit is setup from J&M Manufacturing Co Inc. and the settings needed to make adjustments. It would be beneficial to read and understand the scale operators manual prior to enabling a new feature. If AutoLog is being used, review this as well. The Auto Gate Shut-Off system consists of 1 valve, a wire harness, and the Digi-Star GT460 (SN.5659 and up) A GT460 prior to this can be upgraded contact J&M Manuf. When enabled, the scale will automatically open the grain gate until the preset amount of weight has been unloaded. The gate will then close. This is accomplished by momentarily reversing the hydraulics supplied to the system from the tractor. Read all steps below before starting. Basic operating steps follow: 1. Type in the preferred unload amount and press enter. This value becomes the preset or target weight. 2. The tractor hydraulics need energized in the direction that closes the grain gate. Hold or lock the hydraulics in this position. 3. The PTO should be energized. 4. If auto-log is enabled the gate will open. It can be shut by pushing the stop/start button. If not enabled, the operator needs to push the Start/Stop button to begin unloading. 5. When the preset value minus Tolerance(D.A.N. 442) unload is reached, the gate will close. The Tolerance allows for auger cleanout. For dry corn it will be about 2700 lbs. on a 22 auger. This number can be changed if need be see below. 6. When the auger cleans out, the PTO and hydraulics can be shut off. The unloaded amount should be very close to the preset entered earlier. To make changes to settings one must know the D.A.N. (Direct Access Number). The D.A.N. numbers on a standard GT 460 are listed throughout Digi-Star s operators manual. In order to change a setting, simply enter the D.A.N. using the numeric keyboard and press select. Depending on the D.A.N., one can either toggle through the options using the up and down arrows or enter values using the numeric keyboard. Some additional D.A.N. codes are listed: ALP -(D.A.N. 477) Turns the automatic grain gate feature on or off. If turned off, the scale and cart will function as without the function. The default setting is OFF. Tolerance -(D.A.N. 442) Allowance weight for auger cleanout while unloading. When the D.A.N. is pressed, you must select WEIGHT and press enter to continue. Type in the weight desired followed by enter. Dry corn will be about 2700 lbs. Adjust as needed. Unload Weight Display (UNWEDI - D.A.N. 476) menu item is used to change the normal view of the weight during the unloading process. There are three modes, NET, GROSS, and LOAD. The NET is the normal grain cart unloading method where the indicator counts down from zero and displays negative weight throughout the unloading. The GROSS mode allows the display of the actual or gross weight of the indicator and counts down from the total loaded weight. The LOAD mode will display the active preset weight and countdown that loaded value. If the unloading process unloaded more that the prescribed preset, the display will begin to countdown from zero and show a negative number. The default mode is NET. Pre Alarm (P-ALM- D.A.N. 401) menu is used to set the light and buzzer sound when approaching the preset. Relay (Relay- D.A.N. 406) menu is used to set the relay operation. (Select PREACT) Attached are pictures of the scale screens and brief explanations. 5
