3 ault ode 16: aton Proprietary Link (PL) Test ault Isolation Procedure ault ode 16: aton Proprietary Link (PL) Test Purpose: Visually inspect the integrity of the fuse holder and connections. Purpose: Verify the Vehicle arness will carry a proper load. 2. Inspect main power 2-way connector terminals, in-line fuse holder and power supply connections for integrity and corrosion. 2. Insert 20-amp fuse into main power 2-way connector. 20 mp use Main Power Supply 2-Way onnector 30 mp use If no problem found, go to Step. If problem is found, repair power or ground path for the main power supply. o to Step V. If fuse blows immediately, go to Step. If fuse does not blow immediately, repair wiring from the battery to the Transmission ontroller. o to Step V aton. ll rights reserved

4 V OM V OM ROUN ault Isolation Procedure ault ode 16: aton Proprietary Link (PL) Test Purpose: Verify continuity of the OM interface harness, and test for a short to ground. 2. isconnect Shift ontroller 30-way connector. 3. isconnect Vehicle Interface 18-way connector. 4. Measure resistance between: - Shift ontroller 30-way connector Pin 1 and vehicle interface 18-way connector Pin 1 - Shift ontroller 30-way connector Pin 1 and ground OMS OMS If resistance between Pin 1 and Pin 1 is 00.3 ohms and if resistance between Pin 1 and ground is 10 ohms or open circuit [OL], go to Step. If any of the above conditions are not met, repair Vehicle arness between the Transmission ontroller and Shift ontroller. o to Step V aton. ll rights reserved 45
