1 137 T 1651/33 Manual ut off Switch Trouble ESRIPTION The airbag cut-off switch circuit consists of the center airbag sensor assembly and the airbag cut off switch. T 1651/33 is set when a malfunction is detected in the airbag cut off switch circuit. T No. T etecting onditions Trouble reas 1651/31 The center airbag sensor assembly receives a line short circuit signal, an open circuit signal, a short circuit to signal or a short circuit to + signal in the airbag cut off switch circuit for 2 seconds irbag cut off switch malfunction enter airbag sensor assembly malfunction Instrument panel wire irbag cut-off switch enter airbag sensor assembly WIRI IGRM PM+ 1 L 11 2 G 12 PM- 20 irbag ut-off Switch enter irbag Sensor ssembly H100906E03 UTION: In order to prevent unexpected airbag deployment, disconnect the following connectors before inspecting parts such as wire harnesses, if the application of tester probes to the center airbag sensor assembly connector is necessary. isconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds. isconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor assembly. (d) isconnect the connectors from the steering pad.

2 138 (e) isconnect the connector from the front passenger airbag assembly. (j) isconnect the connector from the front seat outer belt assembly LH. (k) isconnect the connector from the front seat outer belt assembly RH. HINT: Skip the following steps if side and curtain shield airbags are not fitted. (f) isconnect the connector from the front seat airbag assembly LH. (g) isconnect the connector from the front seat airbag assembly RH. (h) isconnect the connector from the curtain shield airbag assembly LH. REPIR OR REPLE HRNESS 4 INSPET IRG UT-OFF SWITH isconnect the 20 airbag cut-off switch connector. Measure the resistance. 4 140 5 HEK INSTRUMENT PNEL (FOR OPEN) irbag ut-off Switch 20 enter irbag Sensor ssembly isconnect the instrument panel wire connector from the airbag cut off switch. Using a service wire, connect 20-1 (PM+) and 20-2 (PM-) of connector. NOTIE: o not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting. Measure the resistance. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Measure the voltage.
