3 4 5 6 The ScreenLine SL20P system comprises a venetian blind incorporating a 12,5 mm slat designed to be integrated in a doubleglazing unit with a 20 mm cavity. The manual tilt only function is operated via a wire drive by an external knob. The rotational magnetic control, located on the side of the unit, is completely integrated within the double glazed unit thereby maintaining the integrity of the hermetic seal. The specially designed corner key containing the rotational magnet is connected to the external knob by a flexible drive cable located within the glazing cavity of the window frame. The technical design of the system guarantees a smooth drive transmission from the external knob to the venetian blind, whilst ensuring perfect sealing of the double-glazed unit. The only visible control is the external knob fixed to the window frame, allowing the glass surface to remain completely free and easy to clean. magnetic joint side operation magnet Due to the narrow cavity (20 mm), the system can be used in almost all types of existing window frames, whilst the special design allows the aesthetic quality to be maintained in whatever environment it is installed. These particular features make the SL20P system ideal for public environments such as hospitals or government offices where a variety of people need to operate this simple but highly protected system. The ScreenLine SL20P system has been tested and certified by the Istituto del Vetro di Murano (Murano Glass Institute - Italy) for integral blinds units manufactured in accordance with UNI The ScreenLine SL20P may be modified to incorporate a 16 mm slat for integration in a 24 mm cavity unit.

5 4 5 6 The ScreenLine system designed with the rotational frontal magnetic control, for raising and tilting a venetian blind integrated within a double-glazed unit, utilises the force produced by two coupled rotational magnetic devices. One set of magnets is inserted in the blind head rail within the cavity and the other applied to the external glass surface. The movement of the blind is achieved through the operation of an external drive system - a continuous cord, an electrical motor or a wand - that rotates the external magnet which in turn drives the internal magnet of opposite polarity with maximum attractive force. This magnet principle does not compromise the unit seal and guarantees the perfect integrity of the double-glazing unit. The design of this magnetic system, with external and internal permanent magnetic disks of double polarity on coaxial shafts, enables the system frontal magnetic control frontal magnetic operation to be used in narrow cavities, essential for design whilst at the same time, improves the power of transmission. The round pins located in the centre of the disks assure a very powerful strength of mutual attraction, together with an extremely free movement, in order to obtain the maximum gain from the magnetic device. The Neodymium N53H magnets have an unlimited life and are resistant to high temperatures (+ 120 ). With a simple rational structure and of limited cost with great functionality, the ScreenLine system with frontal rotational magnetic control can be readily transported for installation in standard doubleglazing units with 20 mm, 22 mm, 27 mm and 32 mm cavities. The system is particularly suited to structural façades, however there are no limits to its application especially where a balance between its excellent technical qualities and refined aesthetic features are required.

7 4 5 6 The internally motorised ScreenLine SL27M system for blinds integrated within a 27 mm double glazed unit, has an improved electrical connection design which reduces installation time whilst still maintaining its function and integrity. The blind head-rail of the motorised blind (pleated, venetian or roller) incorporates a specially designed socket (female), this locates accurately with a new corner key with projecting pins (male) on the inside, and when clipped together they form a mechanical clipping system with excellent electrical connection properties. This new special corner key also has external terminals to which power supply cables can be easily fastened. A small central encoder device, positioned inside the head-rail, allows the simultaneous and synchronised function of one or more blinds at the same time. male external terminals special corner key with integrated contact These components have an excellent resistance to high temperature. The ScreenLine SL27M system can be readily installed in most applications without affecting the existing building materials. The advantage of this redesigned corner key is that the unit seal is not compromised and therefore the unit warranty can be more readily guaranteed. The mechanical clipping system between head rail and upper spacer profile eliminates any accidental separation. The complete system allows a simple fast assembly and installation of the kit, together with ease of transportation. The elegant and formal specification together with the high technical performance of the product makes the ScreenLine 27M system ideal for prestigious applications.

9 4 5 6 removable magnetic control The ScreenLine SL20S is a new magnetic system comprising a 14 mm pleated blind integrated within a double-glazing unit with a 20 mm cavity. The blind movement is achieved by moving a magnetic device positioned centrally on the outer surface of the internal glass across the glass surface. This external magnet interfaces with a similar internal magnet located in the moveable head-rail. The magnetic housing design incorporates small rollers and bearings allowing them to glide over the glass surface without friction thereby avoiding abrasion of the glass surface whilst absorbing glass deflections. The permanent magnets used are Neodymium N53H. The movement of the blind head-rail is always parallel due to a system of internal cords, incorporating plastic plugs and tensioned with steel springs, in order to minimise friction and guarantee the long life of the system. 3D operation blind The application of Verosol pleated blind fabrics, coated with an aluminium layer on one side, reduces solar heat gain and improves U-value, whilst regulating the light passing through. Light transfer down the blind edge is eliminated by the use of special L shapedside guides. The ScreenLine SL20S is an extremely versatile product with simplicity of control; the blind can be adjusted to any position at any inclination from 0º (horizontal) to 90º (vertical). The blind can be moved in every direction; from right to left, from left to right, from the top to the bottom and vice versa. The system is also highly modular; the basic model is installed in a 20 mm. cavity, but can be easy integrated within 24 mm or 27 mm cavity. It is possible to install two blinds within the same unit. The seal integrity is not compromised in the SL20S system. The special features and the high product quality are an effective solution to the problem of light and heat regulation in garret / attic environments, providing an easy and lasting solution of shading for roof windows and inclined windows, whatever the angle.

11 4 5 6 The ScreenLine SL27 Roller blind is a totally new magnetic system containing a roller blind integrated within a double-glazing unit with a 27 mm cavity without compromising the integrity of the unit seal. There are two different models: SL27C Roller with manual cord operation and SL27M Roller with motorised operation through an internal motor. In the SL27C Roller system, the movement of the blind is controlled by an external rotational magnet, driven by a continuous cord loop, which interfaces with an internal rotational magnetic device contained within the head rail. Specially designed corner keys, which are inserted in the side guides, incorporate the winding mechanism and the tube on which the fabric is rolled. The SL27M Roller system has an internal motor installed within the head rail that produces the raising / lowering movement of the roller blind. The magnetic mechanism positioned at the top of the unit is designed to allow the maximum light transfer through the total window area when the blind is raised. By incorporating special guides at the sides and bottom, expressly designed to achieve an easy movement of the bottom rail together with complete fabric enclosure, total black out conditions are obtained. The use of Verosol fabrics, specially manufactured by the "Three roller blind roller blind in double-glazing unit chambers method", which have an aluminium coating on the outer surfaced, allows variable light control (transparent, semi-transparent and opaque versions). A reduction of light transmission to 0,3% using the opaque fabric is possible (i.e. black out conditions). The SL27M Roller system is therefore ideally suited to installation in environments such as hotel rooms, cinemas, hospitals and laboratories i.e. whenever daylight needs to be periodically reduced or even eliminated together with the requirements for a maintenance free permanently clean encapsulated system. The improved insulating characteristics of the cavity coupled with the shading characteristics of the roller blind make this system ideal for the replacement of internal or external conventional shading systems together with a reduction in costs for these types of installations.

13 4 5 6 The Pellini S.p.A. technical department s policy of continuous research to improve the design and performance of the quality of the ScreenLine products has lead the company to incorporate some of the successful developments of the space industry. The "L" shaped side guides, used in some ScreenLine systems, now have a special polymer surface coating of a metallic colour. This coating produces a significant reduction in the friction between the slats and the guides. The coated surface is highly resistant to abrasion even at low temperatures (down to - 30 degree) or high temperatures (up to degree) and also reduces the adhesion of foreign materials thereby ensuring a smooth movement of the slats during their raising, tilting etc. This surface treatment is impervious to UV radiation and humidity and therefore does not present a problem within the D.G. unit. Fogging tests carried out in the laboratory have proven that, even under extreme temperature and UV radiation, the coating does not produce any volatile components that might condense on the inner glass surface and so endanger transparency. dust free coating polymer coated surface
