Maximum trip distances ranged frm km. Captive fleet vehicles tended t make shrter jurneys with business use and rental vehicles making lnger trips Average daily distances were well within the battery range and smewhat lwer than that reprted fr ICEVs in natinal surveys. Number f trips per vehicle per day in the range 2-6 trips. High prprtin f trips begin with a large SOC in the vehicle battery and end with >65% n average SOC remaining in battery High prprtin f trips cnsume lw amunt f energy cmpared with the capacity f vehicle s battery Measured average speeds range between 22 and 46 km/hr cmparable with ICEV values in urban cnditins

Explre the pssibility f night time charging, thrugh smart energy management, t reduce peaks in charging in the mrnings, mid-afternns and evenings, particularly in the case f the latter as this peak cincides with maximum lad n the grid 4. Intrduce smart energy management s that the vehicles can be charged ver the weekends if they are nly in use during weekdays 5. Encurage existing captive fleet users t 'tell their stry' abut their EV experience, and t particularly highlight the great match between urban based captive and business fleet demands and current EV capability 6. Target ther lcal gvernment and municipality fleets encuraging them t mve all/sme f their fleet t EVs using the findings frm the user behaviur measurement n GeM t cnvince them.

Recmmend that lcal authrities use lcal EV user infrmatin grups t serve as effective methds in cmmunicating and encuraging mre effective use f EVs amngst private users. 1. Time allcatin management by emplyers fr users n charging facilities will be necessary as the number f EVs increases. 2. Evidence frm the dataset indicates that many users wh are charging at wrk have already sufficient charge in the battery t return hme. Emplyers may wish t educate the EV users n the capability f the vehicles and batteries. 3. Emplyer and ffice based charging infrastructure will need t be scaled up t cpe with additinal demand as EV penetratin increases in vehicle fleets. This is als supprted by the finding that charging at these lcatins was highly variable in duratin. 4. Emplyers are in a unique psitin t encurage mre EV use by ffering free charging facilities and free parking t emplyees wh use EVs. There wuld be benefit in targeting large emplyers t include EV related plicies as part f their strategic 'green' management and transprt plans 1. Prvide free r reduced parking charges fr users t encurage mre use f street charging facilities 2. Offer public street lcated charging infrastructure t apartment blck dwellers at night time when ther demands n street charging facilities are lw when shps/businesses are clsed.
