Where is the time going to when we re having this much fun. The club continues to grow with the addition of 6 more members since last month. I think we re doing very well at this point, our six month anniversary. We held our first charity event of the year at Bo Beuckman Ford on Saturday, June 7 th. We had a total of 38 cars on display for the event. It seems that everybody had a great time and we look forward to doing it again. We raised a total of $ dollars for our two charities of choice, Susan G. Komen and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. At our June monthly membership meeting a motion was made and seconded to add another $66.00 dollars to the total raised so that we can send a check for $ to each charity. This was a great success for our club and a great start to achieving our goal of helping those in need. On Sunday June 22 nd a group of us caravanned to the Central Missouri Mustang Car show in Columbia MO for a day of fun and camaraderie with our fellow Mustang enthusiasts. We had a total of 10 cars entered in the show and took home 9 awards. The show was held Bass Pro Shop which turned out to be a great place to hold a car show. There was a live band playing to keep us all entertained during the event. We have several Mustang Club Of St. Louis JULY MEETING different events planned for the month of July which will discuss at our monthly membership meeting on Thursday, July 10 th. I d like to see you all there if possible. So come on out and enjoy dinner at Syberg s and meet some of our new members. Like I say every month, it s your club, so get involved and make it one of the best clubs around.till next month, Keep the tradition alive.. WEBSTORE WANDERINGS AND WONDERINGS Cruisin season is here, those warm sultry days of summer when we like to get outdoors and enjoy ourselves. Whether it s a car show, ballgame, picnic, or family reunion, you ll need to take some things with you when you go. Tote bags and coolers are perfect for easily carrying those necessities. Why not promote MCSTL to your friends and family (and everybody else!!) by showing off that cool looking logo we have? When finding a tote to serve your needs the best, here are some things to consider: What s it made of? The denier polyester is common for totes. It s a very dense weave of polyester threads that creates a hard fabric. It s great for a tote because it s rigid and makes the tote stand up on its own easier to fill it that way. There are totes of 100% cotton, which is soft of course, but not rigid. Cotton totes will lay flat or fold up for easy storage. What features does it have? Most totes have pockets, either inside or outside or both, so think about what you will use it for. Do you carry lots of papers, notebooks, and that sort of thing, or will you use it for bulkier type things? Car enthusiasts like us can use totes to carry dash plaques, award plaques, our car show detailing items like the mist and the towels. And don t forget snacks and magazines or books, sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, you name it! Other features for totes include adjustable handles or carry straps and zip tops. If you want a tote type item but don t want to carry it around, consider a waist pack or a cinch sak. Both will free up your hands. Waist packs have an adjustable strap that you secure around your waist, and are generally pretty small, so you can t fit much in them. But they are great for your car keys, sunglasses, a little money, tissues, cell phone, that kind of thing. Cinch saks are carried on your back or over your shoulder. They have adjustable cording on two sides that when pulled will cinch the sak closed so everything is secure, and then you place your arms through the cording like you do for a backpack. These usually don t have any pockets, but not least, if you want to take along a few brewski s and maybe some hot dogs for grillin, a cooler is what you need. Most are nylon and either waterproof or waterresistant. enough to fit in the back floor of your pony to keep your refreshments within easy reach. Some have outer pockets for the other necessities that don t have to be kept cold. Decide what size thirst you have then pick either the 6 or 12 pack capacity. The ones in the webstore have a carry strap so you can throw it over your shoulder. Both are small enough to fit in the back floor of your pony to keep your refreshments within easy reach. Why carry those unattractive grocery store plastic bags that make so much noise? Deck yourself out with a MCSTL logo d tote bag and cooler! You ll be stylin at the next event and looking almost as good as your pony! Until next time, whether in the store or on the road, Happy Wandering! Rain storms blew in Saturday night but good news was our cars were already judged, so we simply sat on the patio at Longhorn and drank our margaritas! We were 3 for 3 for the awards on Sunday. Tim and Dotties 88 took a GOLD in Concourse, Rich Johnston took a 1st in daily driver and Rachael took a 2nd in the 21 and under class. We had an excellent mini-caravan back home as we stopped off at Cracker Barrel for dinner. We are all ready for Birmingham come April 2009!!!
