Before you know it the holiday season will be upon us. The club is doing very well and continues to grow at a steady pace. Each month we seem to pick up several new members. The word is getting out about the club and I continue to receive inquires about who we are and what kind of activities do we do. We did participate in several car shows during the month of July with the most notable being the Robert s Ford Show in Alton and the Ford s Unlimited Show at McDonnell Park in Overland. Both events were well attended by club members. We had a total of 12 cars at the Robert s Ford Show and had 2 club members place in the show. Thanks goes out to Tom Nelson with a 3 rd place award with his 2005 Mustang GT. This was Tom s first show with his new ride. Also, Tim and Dorothy Hepler took home a 1 st place award with their 88 GT convertible. At the Fords Unlimited Show we had a total of 17 cars entered in the show and our members brought home 13 trophies. We also captured our first club participation award at this show. Congrats to all the club members in attendance that made this happen. There is a list of winners on another page of this month s newsletter. We have a lot of events planned in the upcoming months so stay tuned to this newsletter and the website for updates. Several of the activities will be discussed at the next general membership meeting. We should have everything finalized and dates confirmed by then. We are definitely on a roll and have a lot of momentum going into the month of August. Let s keep it going and have another successful month. The club can only continue to grow by the participation of our current members. Our next meeting will be at Syberg s again. The location seemed to work out and we had one of our best meetings to date. So as I said last month come on out early for dinner and enjoy the company of your fellow club members..
