After much research they elected to work with Hackney to design a product that met all their space requirements, desired features and, most importantly, budget. 2 HEAVY RESCUE Model CRS0862 Top Left: Every inch of space is used in the Hackney body design, including the largest wheelhouse compartment offered 67 wide compared to most similar bodies with only 38 to 52 wide. Transverse forward toolboard, Stokes and backboard tunnels in upper side rear, air bag compliment, (4) 6000 psi DOT cylinder beneath staircase, and heavy three-drawer tool box. Also note that all wheelskirt panel space also includes storage compartments. Top Right: To increase safety for moving up and down the staircase, a fold-down set of steps are provided. Additional storage space and ladder tunnels are incorporated into the steps. Full length 24 deep roof compartments complete this spacious design. Twobottle SCBA fill station, eight spare SCBA bottles, cord reel, cribbing compartments, and wheelskirt compartments DFC Fairmount (12) round out a lot of storage capacity compared to similar types of rescue bodies with staircase.
