1 LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT Floyds Knob, IN Lafayette protects an area northwest of Louisville along the I-265 northern loop. This rescue replaces a rescue manufactured by Hackney that has served the district well for over 16 years. The durability and functionality prompted the department to merely enhance its capabilities but stay with a manufacturer that had a proven track record for those sixteen years. The unique roof access porch on the rear provides safer entrance and exiting from the roof top storage area. A full body length Girard awning provides plenty of shade and weather sheltering for rehab operations.

A LED Rota-Beam, Q2B, dual Stuttertone airhorns, FRC brow flood lights, and 10,000# receiver load up the front of the cab. 24 deep roof coffin compartments are provided on each side of the walkway. The interior have adjustable dividers and recessed LED lighting. Ladder brackets are mounted on each side of the walkway for a 24-ft two-section; 14-ft roof; 16-ft roof and 28-ft extension ladders. A roller assembly is located on the edge of the porch for loading and unloading the ladders.

4 Individual sealed and vented EMS and Rope Cabinets are provided in the second compartment. A refrigerator with water bottle storage behind is provided on a slide-out tray forward of rear wheels. 200-ft 10/4 cable reel and 150-ft utility air hose reel installed in top of forward compartments on both side of body. Two 36 deep PacTrac severe-duty toolboards are located in the #3 compartment. Although a heavy rescue, this truck also serves as a mobile air unit with a 26.5 cfm Scott air compressor and RevolveAir fill station. The 20-hp motor is power by a 40-kw, 3-phase PTO generator. Perimeter light is supplied by three FRC Optimum floods on each side and two on the front of the cab; and two Whelen 90 series scene lights on each side and rear. Drop-down step platforms from access to upper reaches of compartments and rehab seating.

5 A slide-out tray assembly was custom designed that provides storage for 24 cribbing in the vertical storage positions with lift-up restraints bars. On top of the assembly is a two-sided box with hinged doors over openings for air bags.
