2 Dear Fellow Producers, We warmly welcome you to the 2016 Spring 100% Rangeland Ready Sale, interfaced with AuctionsPlus and scheduled to start at 12pm, September 30 th. Inspections are welcome prior to the sale by appointment, or on sale day from 9am. Come and enjoy a coffee and morning tea and then take a wander through the sale pens. This year s draft of rams are in great condition, are well grown, and they are displaying plenty of capacity and muscle. We have been working, with a plan, to improve our flock over the years and the results of that dedication is showing through. We aim to produce functional, profitable animals, superiorly adapted to their environment, and that is what we are seeing in our sheep every time we handle them. As always, all the rams are presented to you straight from the paddock, they have never been shorn, hoof trimmed or grain fed. Included in the ram sale are 3 pens of flock rams (Lots 94-96) these will be sold by the pen, not individually. Our sale catalogue is being presented online only. You can find the catalogue online at AuctionsPlus at our sale is sale 504, and also on Our website shows a Google map to our main entrance gate. The sale entrance is 5km further south you will see our sign and flags. Our flock is a tested Brucellosis free flock certificate number CW-01/17. In regards to Johnes sheep from Etiwanda can travel to all areas in Australia. Our sheep also come with a fertility guarantee. We will also be offering 2 registered Red Angus bulls (Lots 97 & 98). Over the last couple of years we have put together a line of Stud Red Angus cattle to breed bulls for our own operation, and we currently have more bulls than we need. The two bulls on offer were purchased as calves at foot at the Tullatoola Red Angus dispersal in April Safe travels to Etiwanda, we look forward to seeing you on the 30th! 6 Sale Information. Sale time The sale is scheduled to start at 12pm EDST, September 30 th, The sale interfaced with Auctionsplus so start time must be strictly adhered to. Inspections are welcome from 9am on sale day or any other day prior, by appointment. We encourage buyers to inspect the rams prior to the sale. This gives us the opportunity to assist in selection of genetics to best fit your flock. Sale Location: on property at Etiwanda. Google map directions on From Cobar - 92kms South on the Kidman Way (Hillston Rd), 5km past Sandy Creek Bridge turn right. Watch for our sale sign and flags. All lambs are from natural paddock matings. All lambs have been born unassisted. 10 What is Rangeland Ready? 100% Rangeland Ready. Hardy, profitable, unpampered White Dorpers that have never been shorn, grain fed or hoof trimmed. Grass raised on the Rangelands of Cobar and performance recorded on LAMBPLAN. Rangeland Ready to go bred like they ought to be! Our Rangeland Ready Rules We use LAMPLAN to provide practical information on the genetic potential of our animals & monitor our breeding program objectively. By running the animals extensively we apply sufficient pressure on the ewe flock to force out the unadapted and infertile animals. The natural resources placed under our stewardship are managed in a regenerative manner. In addition to growth and performance, we select for other vital economic traits like fertility, lambing ease, moderate ewe size, muscling ability, structural correctness, disposition and longevity. Sheep are run in a real-world environment, as tough as or tougher than the environment most commercial ewes are run in. Replacement ewes are developed on a low-cost, rangeland based diet with minimum supplements. We only want the most efficient and most adapted ewes to make it into the breeding flock. We let the environment sort out the profitable ones; we show no sympathy for empty or dry ewes. All lambs must be born unassisted to make it into one of our ram sales. A ewe must produce and wean at least one lamb every year to remain in the flock. Our honesty & integrity will not be compromised. Never Shorn, Hoof Trimmed or Grain Fed ever. 100% Rangeland Ready
